So... Originally Bleu Tahiti over Bleu interior, then Bleu Tahiti with White accents (to match the Prince's favorite boat) over Bleu/White Interior, now Bleu Tahiti over Senape. Is that right?
Close. Originally Bleu Tahiti over Blue & White interior. Then the Pearl White accents were added by Carlini, and according to Felter the "story" that this was done "to match the Prince's boat", was just that, a story. Now it is Bleu Tahiti over Senape (instead of the Blue & White interior).
I liked the 2-tone look before but am anxious to see the new & improved original Blu Tahiti (one of the best colors on any car).
I have been misled. I am trying to figure out why I thought it factory as per customer request. Damn, I did not make the connection that they were as one. Shame on me. I will ban myself until tomorrow. Man, am I out there, whew.
Same reason I thought the custom paint was to match the Prince's beloved boat. Sometimes the histories of such things end up like that schoolyard game "Telephone", where everyone that hears the story adds a little something to it before passing it along. Part of the fun of these cars is trying to go back down the line and learn the real story.
A low-res image from today. This car is loud & fast! Tony will attest.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
High-res images get slightly diluted when posted on FChat so I encourage opening up the links to see full-size images. http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245233607/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245834206/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245231117/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245229507/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245228391/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245227963/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245227333/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245226969/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245226451/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245826846/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245825660/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245824918/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245824396/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245222603/sizes/l/in/photostream/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/joesackeyclassics/5245823336/sizes/l/in/photostream/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah, I had expected that with the change to Senape the dash would go to that chocolate brown mousehair usually seen with Senape. I like the retention of the blue dash. I'm assuming that there will be a gallery of the car over at your site in the near future... Edit: Or right above this post... Good Lord that is one gorgeous Countach. Awesome in the original sense of the word; Inspiring awe.
Wow Joe, that thing is beautiful! The color combo is awesome and the bravo wheels are so perfect. The only thing I can really find fault with are the trapezoidal wing stanchions versus the set-backs that I've seen on most other winged cars in this thread.
beatiful or not, they are, on the other hand, very rare and as Wolf-like items, also special for some countach fans (like me) that are in love with the Wolf countach cars
