Let's say it is like when you were a kid and first drank beer.
It tasted awful but you pretended to like it, because it made you feel grown up.

Then as you grew older you actually liked beer.

A Countach is a unique car to drive. It cannot even be compared with the equivalent BB512 or Testarossa of the era which are silky smooth by comparison.

It is a pure and raw exotic.

A completely different car to the modern day supercar which can only be described as a metrosexual or poofter car in comparison. (Don't get me wrong. Modern day supercars are great but a completely different kettle of fish)

Everytime I drive a modern exotic, its like driving a Camry in comparison to the Countach.

So if you are a purist, the Countach will amaze you.

If you are used to driving a modern car (even the cheapest Hyundai) you will hate it.

I agree to a certain extent, but Countach's don't stack up well in driveability compared to the equivalent Ferraris of the day.

If I had the choice between an LP400 and a BB365 for a 1 hour drive, I'd take the 400. But anything over an hour, the 365 wins the contest for being the lesser of a draining experience. You get out of both cars sweaty and tired, but much more so in the Lambo.

Having said that, I love them and owning an LP400 is definitely on my bucket list. :)

I only have two cars left on my bucket list, an LP400 and a Leighton House March.

    Then, I'm done!

Chatting to Ian R last Saturday (he has the Beatrice Lola F1) and he has worked out that he has 15 race meetings left before he hangs up his helmet, because his reaction time and physical strength won't be there. Your options start closing in when you're past 60...

Of course, I'm MUCH younger than you JM, so I have plenty of time left. :)

I've been told that quite a few of the Singapore LP-670SVs are going to be coming to Aus.

Is that even possible? Is Lambo a low volume importer in Aus?

Does someone do compliancing of the Murci in Aus?

    ok...then I guess they're coming.

I was told that the SV owners want to dump them because the murci replacement is going to be so superior, as you'd expect.

Whether or not that's true, I have no idea.

Well they can dump one my way............

Although, is the Gallardo the better drive? Not as flashy looking, but maybe more nimble. I suppose only MHH can answer that one.

Hey Mark, what's your take on the two as a side by side comparison?
