How does one get the MKIV in the 1st place? $20 million is a little steep for me.

I put the directions on how to do it a couple of pages back in this thread. It sounds like a PITA, but once you do it, it's easy.

Is it just me or does anyone else wish you could actually see the pics the photographers are taking while you race by! It would be pretty cool if you were able to place one on the track to take pics that you could see.

    It's not a glitch, it's an exploit. ;)

The gift is meant to be in the game, it just not supposed to be used like people are using it.

Anyone play GT5 yet? There's quite a few Ferrari's in this game. I bought my 4th Ferrari yesterday.

    A new glitch! I mean exploit. :)

If you go to community and send a car to someone, but don't click "Ok" when it says Operation Complete and instead quit the game from the XMB and then go back into the game you can repeat this to send unlimited cars per day. I just sent kizdan a Muira and fiorano94 a NSX and it let me send them both this way and it takes <2 minutes to quit and restart the game.

    Thanks Chris!

    Don't know if anyone caught this question above;

If you gift a car with mods on it, does the receiver get the mods too?

You sort of can. When you watch the replay of your car, you can go in photomode and the first camera option just lets you walk around, with a lot of freedom. You can then set the shutter speed, the panning mode etc..

You do, but if you sell a car with mods you simply lose them and get no money for them.

Bad lesson learned with a 1000hp Viper I could only sell for $30k, about $200k in mods alone.

There's a thread in the video game (under technology toys) forum that is specifically devoted to this game

I did the Gallardo event in the expert series on B-spec last night. Something looked strange on the front of the Gallardo a few laps in, until I remembered there is now damage. I guess my guy clipped someone else, and the front bumper was hanging a little bit. Didn't seem to affect performance at all - and if that's the case, what's the point of it?

There have been downloadable improvements on the game that allow it to also have an effect on the performance, however, I believe this is only for online play.

Yup, mechanical damage is online only, hopefully it'll affect chassis and engine and car washes later on, not too sure of the point of those features without it.

I wish the damage would remain on the vehicle until you take it back to the garage to repair it. The only problem with this though would be during the championship races where you need to drive back to back events. Although, pitting should allow some of the damage to be repaired, it just shouldn't completely repair it. Pitting should only fix the car enough to be drivable just to get back in the race.

Anytime, and thanks for the Chap! I used to to finally beat the Historic races. I just finished the Dream Car Champ on Extreme and got the extended credits. It's pretty awesome!

As a heads up I'd suggest not trading for the time being, there is something wrong with the server that is making cars disappear, might be related to the more than one gift per day thing.

The Chaparal is pretty good. Not for the Historic Race in B Spec but i won everything else i tried with it and won the historic races in A Spec. You need to configure the gears so that it doesnt take forever to launch but it's amazing on corners. (Im talking about the 2D)

Really? I added a turbo, and stiffened the structure, which were the only 2 mods available, and also added the softer racing tires. My B-spec driver was getting passed by the non-modded 2Ds! I'll try messing with the gears this weekend to see if I can have some success.

I added the turbo and soft slicks to my XJ13 and with quite a lot of driving aides was able to beat it, though it sure wasn't easy.

Did the same. First time, i was leading for 9 laps then the Toyota passed me. I changed gearing for more acceleration and i was able to win (The Jag was much faster in the first part of the track). At Monaco, i was able to win easily.

    I'm still at level 15.

But I'm relieved to see that there are some good souls out there willing to trade/give away cars to fellow FChatters in need.

So far I still don't need the spare change. Tomorrow's another day...

Meanwhile I'm cleaning the competition's clock with my Ueber-Scud. This is the Scud missile of Hell from Baghdad. I think I maxed out every option short of the total car rebuild in the shop section. And the best part is the big honking wing I threw on there! Fieros got nothing on me baby! :)
