Hmmm, Looks like I need to calibrate my new monitors. That foreground is so dark I can't make anything out. Guess the gamma on these is out to blazes.
Thanks for the re-assurance but I'll calibrate them anyway. Certainly looks a nice place to shoot! NZ?
Ah, the rest of the post got lost or I keyed it in wrong, too much fun this weekend and brain deffo in idle mode. The island is called Tiritiri Matangi (you did ask) and the shoot is on Navy ground at the end of the Whangaparaoa Peninsula which is where I live. Done.
I used to go around there (Army Bay) with my Dad and his Maori mates as a kid getting Oysters off the rocks, some Kina (sea urchin), then off to Okoromai Bay to get some Pipi's. Then went back to the batch in Stanmore Bay, cooked the pipi's on the BBQ and ate the Kina and Oysters raw. Below is a Kina for those who don't know. You eat the yellow bit. My Dad's Maori friends would mash the whole lot up and eat it. I never had the balls to try that. Image Unavailable, Please Login
