I did the Grand Valley endurance race in my Scud last night and had a blast. 60 laps took about 2 hrs. The full aero body kit looks awesome on it, too! I had trouble with the Chap on the Historic races, so I ended up using skid recovery and some active steering. Had no trouble after that, but I hate having to resort to using the aids too much.
If you promise to return her, I'll send ya my Minolta 88C that should have no probs with those races. Remind me your PSN and I'll send it out tonight after work (still 6 hours away).

I bought the 458 and tuned it to 670hp. Pretty good time. I just wish they made the engine and exhaust sounds more unique to each car. Gt5 is a good game but I am not convinced it is better than the fourth one yet, ingoring the graphics part because ps2 would look aweful on my 65" plasma screen.
Has anyone tried a total engine overhaul, or chassis maintenance, or total racing modifications in "GT Auto"? If yes, what differences did you notice afterwards, if any?
My F40 needed an engine overhaul after I done it there was an 80 bhp improvement and I noticed it straight away while driving it.

You were so right! The gears are everything. I actually got gold in the 1st B-spec race, and silver in the second. I think if I drop the top end down to about 130-135mph, Gold is achievable in the 2nd race. It just requires a lot of management. You really have to slow him down in the twisties, particularly that section right after the swimming pool, leading up to the main straight. Thanks for the tip.

What is the requirement for the Japanese historic race? Reason I'm asking is that I'm watching the used car section until I get to that point.
so what does the chaparral need to be dropped to in terms of top mph so that it can when the historic race?
I won some Mazda concept car, that looks like a race car, that just destroys the field in the Japanese historic races. It actually ends up lapping cars! In B-spec, no management is required at all, it just dusts the field with ease. I dropped it to about 162 for the 1st race, and to about 145mph for Cote Azure. Mine has the max turbo on it, as well as chassis rigidity mod, and of course, the softest tires allowable. You really need to be on top of managing the driver in B-spec.
So have any of you guys tried out the lobby modes yet? I want to get together, talk on mic, and run some races with you guys.
yeah i just picked that up and the f40 also. i used the furai to beat the like the wind and got the 88cv race car. between that and the audi lemans quattro its been pretty smooth sailing since. trying to find a clk touring car in the used car lot but no luck so far.
