Miles are higher than average and priced accordingly. A scud with 3k should be around 200ish....tell us something we don't know...right.

That's a pretty good car for someone who wants to drive one quite a bit. I like the black stripe in the side scoop.

As a potential near future Scud buyer, I would've posted this thread with a SMILE icon!

I LOVE buying depreciated assets! :)

    +1, nice addition

That's a primo looking SCUD, only thing better is the price - if they only want $186 for it, I wonder what the owner sold it in as?

What a warped sense of reality when a two year old car with 7000 miles is described as "high mileage". The Ferrari owners world has painted itself into a silly mileage corner in that any reasonable amount of driving severely impacts the cars value. Enough complaining...I think that I will take the 16M out for a drive. I'll keep the drive short knowing that if I actually drive the car, it will self destruct, and quickly depreciate to zero. :)

Hold on, I'm PMing you a quick mileage depreciation calculator. It'll help you save another $120k

I agree. Wish we had a moderator that could just eliminate such gadflies so we don't have to listen to their nonsense.

The earnest importance of mileage is something created by Ferrari owners themselves. In the past owners purchased a Ferrari and drove it for some period of time. It could be a year, three years or even five years. Then demand started to outstrip supply. Profits could be achieved by simply putting on a thousand miles or even less and then flipping the car to a new owner. This worked so well that the market soon became flooded with very low mileage 'used' cars. Instead of finding 5 or 10 thousand mile used cars; buyers had their choice of used cars with only hundreds of miles showing. There was now a never ending supply of very low mileage Ferrari models available. That soon became the standard by which all modern used Ferrari models were judged. The surplus of low mileage models being consistently available is what perpetuated the 'low mileage mania' and it continues to this day.

Accenting the side scalloped out portion with the black decals looks dumb. They are probably into it around $175K. Some guy lost his @ss on that one.

You are always going to be fighting the lower mileage cars in the F-world. Too many buy just to have it sit around and not be driven. That's the reason for crazy low mileage.

The mileage huge hit is something established by the real-world market for these cars, not by guys posting on this forum. +miles = -$. It's a fact, don't shoot the messenger.

In a year these Scud's should be around $155k or less even.

    They made way too many.

You are optimistic. There are way too many cars and models too choose from in this price point. 430 spyders, scags, gallardo spyders, Calis not much more, heck even some murci spyders are there.
Out of all of these, I see the Scud as the least desirable.By spring, I think they will be realistically selling in the $130s. Asking and true selling prices are not very close and only going to fall rapidly.

Yowzers? I wonder if they'll cross with a 430 price ever? Imagine the Scudacity? F's are now like Porsches. Buy new and expect to take a huge hit.

Sorry, I don't agree that the scud is the least desirable of these cars! After driving it again today, I can't imagine how any of those cars offer better value at current prices.

I don't think the 430 Scuderia is the least desirable, at least not to me ! All the cars you mentioned are great cars, it really depend on how you are going to use it and what do you want in a car. I had a F430 spider and currently own a 430 Scuderia for almost 2 years and I will still pick the Scud if I have a choice again !

Me too. I'll take a Scud any time. It's definitely desireable to me, over a Murcie or Gallardo....

Dr. J, I will place money on that bet. Lets set May 1, 2011 as the judgment date. I say comps selling above $139,999. You get $139,999 and below.

How much or what to wager?

Don't hold me to this, but I think this car belonged to a very young owner from one of the other boards. He has had 2 Scuderias, with the most recent being a black one. I've also heard that one of the Scuds was involved in an accident but not sure which of the 2.

Doubtful. At best (or worst depending on how you look at it) I say 180's for most by the end of 2011.
