Full front and rear downforce and aggressive starts. You can pull out a lead if you get past everyone quick, but the faster cars will catch up. If you're fast enough you'll keep them back. I won all the races in Gran Turismo All Stars like that. Had a hell of a race with the Sauber Mercedes in Tokyo. I never got more than a second ahead and managed to hold him off.

Anybody got a historic car I can borrow? I tried a modded Cobra and it's crap!

I'm at level 7 now, make sure he stays cool or at mid level & try not to give him orders to "haul ass" in the corners. Pace down & maintain pace have worked well for both of my B-Spec drivers.

I just read last night that Sony Japan has announced that three free cars for Gran Turismo 5 will be available to download from the PlayStation Store on December 24th. The free cars will be “Chrome Line” editions of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640, Jaguar XJ13, and a BMW M3 Coupe. But, it is still not clear whether anyone owning a copy of GT5 will be able to download these cars or if they will only be available to the Japanese market.

Personally, I am very interested in getting the Jaguar XJ13 since I can easily afford to buy both the LP640 and M3.

I was wondering if there would be a Christmas gift or anything along the lines of the birthday ones.

I'm not crazy about them being chrome cars either but I really could use the XJ13 racecar for the Historic Racing Car Cup.

Hopefully we can just paint them another color.

Interesting, The chrome line cars are already given to people that purchased the North American Collectors Edition,(300SL, Cobra 427, BMW M3, Lambo LP 640, & Audi R8 V10) These cars are slightly modified (stage 1) complete a chrome stripe & custom paint. Other than that the only thing for me to look forward is the to Jaguar XJ13.

Can anyone loan me a Ferrari 330? I just need it for 1 race.

Also, need some kind of fast race car to compete in the All Stars event, as my Zonda R is just not cutting it. It is capable of winning, but only by a perfect driver, which I can admit is not me. Best I got in any of the races was 3rd place.

I found a way to send more than 1 car per day (Just dont click OK when it says Complete or Car sent, and exit the game. When you start the game again, you can send cars.).

    Sent you the Jag.

That's fine, I have the rest of the year off. I really appreciate the generosity of lending your Jag to me.

A day later I actually received the gifted Miura, so I guess the trick still works.

BTW: If anybody wants to gift me a car: My gamertag is my FChat moniker ;)

Well, I raced the Historic Race series and won Deep Forest fairly easily but wow, Côte d'Azur is a major pain to win. I'm not even coming close at the moment.

You need to drop the top speed to around 150 mph IIRC as the straights are short and it's mostly corners and acceleration out of the corners.
