They're so popular over there that several different companies make hop up parts, wheels, bodies and complete circuit kits for table tops!

    $300+/- will buy you a ready-to-run car...

I was in a Hobby Shop the other day, the larger ScalectriX had some really nice Ferraris to chose from.

Kyosho also makes the Mini-z series of R/C cars, which are larger than the Dnanos, but still half the size of the big 1/10th scale cars...

Mini-z on the left, Dnano on the right...

A while back they had some 1/43 F360's for $10 at Tuesday Morning, but they are by no means great quality. I'd really like to get some these, though!

$300 each!!!!! What!!!! Nice yes, but not $300! I'd stay as very far away from these as possible and stick to 99cents Hotwheels.
Just put a long tail at the end of these cars and they look like rats running around the track!
Maybe everyone here who wants these so bad should buy one and then everyone can meet in Japan and race em'! Get to know each other a little bit. Fun hobby I guess!

Kyosho also makes the Mini-Z R/C cars, which are a little bigger than the dnano cars, but less expensive. I think the Dnanos aren't actually meant for the US Market, which would explain the high cost...

I actually did buy 1 of the 360's from Tuesday Morning. I've played with it a couple times. It's stored away right now though.

BUT!!!! Here's one I need to get a controler for. I bought it about 4+ years ago. I didn't realize how hard it would be to get a controler though for it. So if anyone knows where I could get a controller, please let me know. I think I bought it for less than $50. I got it off of eBay.
