Agreed, but understand that all installers are NOT the same...a quality install is a MUST.

Very true. The nice thing is no company really offers a precut film kit for the GTO. Anyone installing film will have to hand trim a custom kit. This alone will weed out unskilled installers.

I vote against and continue to do so. I like cosmetic wraps (and did the roof of my 458 in semi-matte black), but I don't like clear-bra whoever the installer.

Bugs, and notably rubber (if you track the car) get impaled in the vinyl, rubber seemingly melting into the surface. You can clearly see the blend lines, and they often pick up wax when you have the car detailed. Then if you drive in a spirited fashion, you'll likely scratch the bottom of the front anyway on the road, and have to have the thing painted anyway.

Pretty much every Ferrari with >15K miles has had its front clip and probably sills painted.

I'd rather have a few stone chips on a car that otherwise pops with properly detailed paint, than the dull/different look of the clear vinyl next to the paint.

Before you think about applying any invisi-bra, you need to be sure that whoever is doing it is extremely skilled. Not your local place that does it on the side. After witnessing my uncle's GTO go through 3 full body wraps, we gave up. Finally we ended up just having the front bumper, and side's of the car wrapped. The guy who did the job is extremely talented, he has done all of our cars with no problems, and he is also the guy FBH uses. Sadly the GTO just refused to cooperate....

It was a completely custom bra wrap. There are two problems. One is that no one makes pieces pre-cut or large enough for the GTO panels to be done in one piece, causing a lot of seems. And second invisi-bra has a hard to being formed to the curves of the GTO.

Side note, When you get a dull look from getting a car wrapped, it is do to a low grade film. And speaking from experience, if a pebble does wiggle its way into the bra you can simply pull it out and in a matter of a week or two the spot will return to normal, or the installer can use a heat gun to repair the spot.

    Hopefully this made some sense.

i can only add that i had something thrown up from the road the left and mark and actually etched into the clear bra on my hood. without it - i'd be looking at a hood repaint.
