    $16k for a new Dino and you notice the shipping costs?!? ;)

    I'm surprised to see leather as an option, I assumed it was standard...

    Moving right along, it looks like maybe one-fifty for the "Transp."...still a bargain!
    'not sure what the "Imp. frt." actually is, FarmerDave. Whatever, it's listed as "Optional Equipment."
    Any other ideas?

    According to the Dino Register, the last record was in 2008 at Ferrari of Long Island. Maybe someone knows who owns *04282*? Would be nice to reunite this back to the correct Dino. I'm sure the current owner would be thrilled!

    It looks like you were closer than I first thought. Seemingly, "Imp. frt." on the 04282 doc is the same as "POE frt." on the one for Tom's 05028. It appears to have been $50 charged at the port in the USA. That plus the $150 must have been the total shipping charges...at least on 04282!
    It's interesting that some form of port freight charges was listed in the options section on both stickers, yet the "Transp." (and "Dlr. Prep") cost only appears on the 04282 sticker.

    That's how Chinetti-Garthwaite decided to describe them, it's not Factory paperwork... Customers probably preferred it too.

    What is the current 2010 equal for the $770 charge for air conditioning.....probably something similar to $5,000+! I think I'd just sweat a little more and save the money for servicing- ha!

    I wish I had that sheet for my car. Failing that, I think I will make one and put it in the glove compartment together with the clock instruction tag I made some years ago! We still have an electric typewriter (I am sure you remember those) in the office; I will have to match the typeface. It should be fun to do.

    Not to stir it more, but as far as I'm concerned, there were the Ferrari Dinos and the Fiat Dinos. I don't care if the 206 and 246 were not badged as Ferraris at the factory. It's simple: Two different models of cars shared the same basic engine, which was called the "Dino" engine. One of these cars was a Ferrari and the other was a Fiat. Or am I being too logical?

    By the way, I do not have the original window sticker for my 308. A few years ago, I found a guy on eBay who would fabricate a "replica" of one, but to my regret I didn't order one at the time. Maybe I can make one myself, but if anyone knows a source, please let me know.

    Sorry for sidetracking this thread. There's some interesting information you've got there, and a wonderful addition to your documentation. Congratulations.

    I will fill this up and stick it on a rear window of the Dino. I have car friends visiting this weekend, and when they notice it, I will rip it off and say a previous owner should have thrown it away a long time ago.

    Here is the form filled in. The type font seems to be "pica," according to my secretary, who found a typewriter in the office that had this. It looks very new, of course, but that is probably how the sticker looked it 1972.

    The window sticker that Shaughnessy found for #4282 is precious though, and I hope the present owner is able to acquire it.
