    Hello Everyone,

I am planning to purchase a 2009 Scuderia with 1300kms on it. What should be done to the car service wise. My understanding that even if the mileage is low but oil should be changed every 3 months.

Any thing else i should do other than change the oil on this car?

Your help and advice is greatly appreciated.

    thanks for the fast reply.

This will be my first Ferrari. I already have a 06 Gallardo
If you had a choice and price wasnt a factor would you get the 2009 Scuderia or get the 458 italia?

    cheers

Not to hijack the thread, but can anyone tell me the differences between an 08 & 09 Scuderia (if there are any?) Am considering one as a track toy vs a GT3RS..

well thanks for the replies guys, Know its the time to decide on color.

1- Black with golden scuderia stripes and golden rims, interior in beige with black inserts.
2- Red with sliver stripes, silver rims and all black interior.

which one would u pick and why?

some 08's don't have the LED lights in the steering wheel. Lots of 08's don't have the CF diffusor. 1 less year of warranty obvious and about 20k-30k in pricing.

OP change your oil 1 time a year. The oils are fantastic now and it's a waste of cash to do it anymore.

You just have to know how to drive it, not take it apart. Not A very nice comment.

If it were me I'd go with your first option. It describes exactly how I want my first 360 or 430 to look. I saw a picture with a similar configuration and fell in love. It looks incredible. It all comes down to how you want your car to look and which color configuration you've fallen in love with.

Agreed. Cut the guy a break not everyone has the same knowledge on cars. My advice to the OP - read and search and learn. Everyone has a different mechanical knowledge and some are willing to learn more than others.

Thanks all except for a few.
The comment I made about oil comes from regular cars with intervals of 3000 miles or 3 months if the cars is not driven. As I said this is my first Ferrari and i didnt know. BTW I have a 06 Gallardo which takes similar intervals as the Ferrari in terms of check ups but i go through those more than other super cars owners, reason being I dont park it in my garage all nice and clean and shed a tear or 2 when I hit 1000 miles. I love my carS and drive them, the Gallardo alone in 4 yrs has more than 100,000 kilometers yes thats true I said one hundred thousand.

When it comes to the color combo I agree with you the black with gold and beige look astonishing and different, but whats pulling me to the red one is one thing, red=Ferrari, some may disagree but thats my opinion.

I will let you know which one I will end up getting.

Also I am from AbuDhabi the capital of the UAE, so hello from the Arabian Gulf.

+1. Maybe this new year, Richard will grow a personality that doesn't include iconoclastic attitude like the majority of his prior posts...

These are pretty durable cars. The only thing you may want to do differently maintenance wise is replace air filters more often if there is a fine sand/dust in your area.

When we ran P 4/5 in Bahrain our air filters picked up a lot of fine dust/sand.

Also keep the clutch adjusted with a SD3 computer which your dealer should have and use during routine maintenance.

I'd go for Back but as you say it's personal preference.

    Best
