    I never felt James was anything "special". He's a great player, but I don't think he's anything more than that.

    But that is not how the GREAT ones are defined.

    Kobe didn't carry the team when Shaq was there, Shaq didn't carry the team he was on with Kobe.

    Kobe DID carry the team last year.

    Jordan had an all-star supporting cast. Lebron single-handedly carried the Cavs to the finals back in 06/07.

    BIG difference between getting TO the game and WINNING the series.

    And IIRC, in Jordan's last two championships, he didn't have that all-star supporting cast.
    I know Rodman was gone, Pippen - not so sure he was there still, or performed at an all-star level.
