I never felt James was anything "special". He's a great player, but I don't think he's anything more than that.
He knows none of us rednecks would go. I can hear it now, crickets chirping in background, tumbleweeds blowing across the dance floor...
His legacy will be defined by how he does in the playoffs this year. Michael Jordan CARRIED his team to championships, let's see how James' does.
The problem is James has two prime, All-Star teammates. He'll just have to share the load, not carry.
But that is not how the GREAT ones are defined. Kobe didn't carry the team when Shaq was there, Shaq didn't carry the team he was on with Kobe. Kobe DID carry the team last year.
Jordan had an all-star supporting cast. Lebron single-handedly carried the Cavs to the finals back in 06/07.
BIG difference between getting TO the game and WINNING the series. And IIRC, in Jordan's last two championships, he didn't have that all-star supporting cast. I know Rodman was gone, Pippen - not so sure he was there still, or performed at an all-star level.
