Fuel smells in a 308? None in mine

Well, I've asked every passenger who's been in my 308 so far. Apart from being a bit rich at idle (haven't got to that bit yet) and stinking out the garage a bit, there are no fuel or oil fumes inside my car.

No one, except 360C, remembers ANY fumes of any kind in my old GT4 either.

So, apart from 360C who might have one of the most sensitive noses on the planet, does anyone experience any oil/petrol fumes inside their 308? Obviously I'm only including 308s that are running properly and aren't worn out.

As much as like the 308, it ain't a car for me!

 

I'm not convinced it's a car for me either, but that's a whole different story!

I just drove it for the second time, so no...not yet.

ask again after the 3rd drive and you might get a different answer.

 

There are NO fumes (fuel or oil), coming out of my 308GTS. And don't give that crrapp about how would I know because I haven't driven it in years.......because I drove it about 3 weeks ago.
AND the aircon in the 512 works much better than the aircon in a 308. (belongs to the porsche thread)

 

If you ever need any of your cars 'exercised' Gil, ill be more than happy to relocate to Melbourne and take that on as a full time job for you.

 

try putting some gas in the 308...they work about the same.

I do put in avgas

 

The smell is related to either
1. the LPG cylinder
2. smelly feet

 

I mean refrigerant in the 308.

 

What would you know about refrigerant?

R12 or R134A

see i do know something and also that F-111's had more R12 in them than what 100 cars could hold, so blame the hole in the ozone layer on F-111's
