Hoping to hear back on the Naples car but frankly with the deal now looking shaky I have stepped up my search again and found this car. It is a Fiorano and is more then I wanted to spend but it is really nice and well you guys know what happens when you start looking into these cars...

It has been around for a while and wonder if any you guys know anything about it? It was priced at $135 and is now at $105.

Appreciate any feedback. Please check out the link:

Ken, that car looks fantastic. While I can't comment on the dealer (purely from a lack of knowing anything about them), I am sure someone here will.

    Good luck.

Thanks Ace, I showed it to my wife and was expecting her to say " that is way more you said you were going to spend!" But surprisingly she said "oooh I like that one!" "get that one"

I tried really hard to not fall out of my chair.

Nice pics BTW where were they taken? Looks like Stanley park.

Beautiful car my friend. As they say, "The beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Or is it, "Every seat has it's behind." Someone will buy this car its just not going to be me. I personally would not spend this much on a 355. Countach will do me better at this price or maybe two 355s at this price so you have a spare one for parts. That mileage may be low but the vehicle has not been driven for over 10 years. You need to drive these cars. Even as an investment, you wont recoup the cost at resell.
Nothing against the seller, its just my take on it

OK Sev. Interesting perspective. I dont like throwing money away so my question is whether or not you see value in the Fiorano series. What is the market value for these cars? There must be a premium for these cars over a regular 355? I have seen them priced in the $90's. It is priced at $105k or best offer, might be able to get it down into the mid $90's.

As for it sitting yes it will need some work but do you think the car is "risky" because it has not been used?

    Thanks for posting.

    Some thoughts...

    - my read of the market for Fioranos is that they have been trading hands in the 70s. Asking prices on all 355s creeping up the past 6 months - as evidenced by this Fiorano asking above $100k - the highest I've seen in quite some time.

    - the 6 speed manual is rare, some say 6 were made other sources quote 15-20. In my book the manual is worth a premium - $5k.

    - budget for a major, no question. $5-8k min.

    - if you think you may keep a F355 for a very long time then a 3 pedal Fiorano is a best bet to possibly appreciate.

    Cool.

Thanks Sandy. 6 - 20 made is pretty awesome. I emailed the buyer so we will see what kind of response I get.

Been doing some reading on here. What an excellent board for information.

I might be getting too attached to this Fiorano and its only been a few hours. I am so shallow :)

Haha, it's an awesome car for sure. The rarity of the manual trans is very cool.

I must say that I like your attitude of-

"I think I will buy this car because I really like it"

    vs the all too common-

"I'm sooooo scared, how much will this cost me per mile and how much will it depreciate? Hold me!!??!!".

I dont know but with these cars I am not really thinking about resale value to much. I feel like the benefit of having this beauty and driving it around is going to more than pay me back for the cost of owning it.

    Thanks 8.

Looks like the Global Autosports.com 'dealer' is actually just a search engine for exotics. The actual seller is listed as "private", someone in Michigan.

I couldn't agree more - which means that Ken will be a very passionate owner, and an individual who was born to one day own a Ferrari.

Crappy news Ken, but there is one somewhere out there waiting for you, therefore continue your journey my friend ;)

    Hi Reg,

I am assuming it went for close to asking as long as it checked out mechanically sound. It started out at $129k back in August and was dropped to $105k.

    Mike,

I was really depressed when I got the news about the Fiorano. The thought of having a car like that definitely put a skip in my step last night. In the end I hope I can find what I am looking for. I am going to pursue the Naples Motorsport car. I spoke to Rob this morning and I feel we are on the same page regarding what needs to be done. We just need to determine what the actual costs are to get the car fixed. If you have any opinions on this please post on my other thread.

    Thanks in advance!

Don't be sad ! I believe in destiny and perhaps it wasn't meant to be. I honestly think that 105K for a 355 Fiorano is way too much on today's market. 105K is now in the range of early 430's and Gallardo's. Hey... now we are talking ! But this is just my opinion, please don't kill me !

Yeah, don't lose any sleep over it. Wasn't meant to be...besides, I noticed it had a sticky interior console. The right car will come along, must be patient, you'll know when it's "right".

Fiorano 6-speed or not that car was way over priced. Save your money and opt for a less expensive option. For that kind of cash you could get a 575M!

Very very nice! If i was in the position to buy that i would have personally, over priced or not. The very last of the F355s and a manual Fiorano!, the perfect F355 spider IMO .You can keep your 575s and Gallardos, there not special in any way compared to this.
As i have always said, 355 owners are always there own worse enemies. When ever a 355 comes on the market over the average price, we talk it down. I bet 246 Dino owners never did the same 5-6 years ago, when Dinos were as cheep as chips. Maybe a very long shot but personaly i would be very happy if 20+ 355s sold for over $100,000 in 2011 :)

A very nice f355 for sure, but $105g's no way. But someone paid something for it, and I would love to know what.

Agree with the last thread and the ones prior to it. Fiorano tops 80K. Again, other 355s with low mileage asking for 75-90K is just an add price. If you gy that then yes, Fiorano should be 110K. Remember that those high priced cars have not been sold. The ones that sell are in the range of 50-65K. For that reason bumping up the Fiorano range to 70-80K with the low miles makes sense. Ok, Ok, maybe 85K.
Either ways, the car is gone now and wish you could strike a deal sooner. Dont kill yourself over spending 100gs. You will get another chance.
I know these 355s strike people like those perfect curves at the gentelmen's clubs under the dim lights and we keep remembering them day after day. There are other clubs available :)
