LOL!! Well I'm sure you will 'eventually' make the right decision even if it takes a trade-in or two. Remember life is short so make the best of it.

She definitely wants a cabriolet if I'm going to get her another car.

I hear you buddy, but how many guys on this site have multiple F-cars that are only Rosso Corsa? Plus, what's hers is hers and what's mine is hers anyway! lol!

That is a sweet and very fast car, but she/we definitely need the extra rear seats for a few more years.

cabriolet and 2+2 seating are the bare minimum requirements for this adventure

That's awesome Wade! Interesting that it's a Mondial t she's in. Never noticed that before.

Wade, I love everything about that pic. the mondial t, christy, and the awesome 80's baby seat with the roller coaster roll bar.

Regarding the post topic. Get her something with an automatic top. I vote Porsche.

I keep my wife secured positioned in our 2002 Chev Suburban. She likes to put on make up, talk on the cell phone, drink her starbucks (sometimes all at the same time) while driving. This, not surprisingly, results in quite a large number of smallish dents and dings all over the car. There's hardly a panel on the car that doesn't have some other car's paint, or a ding, or a scratch. I don't really care...because it's a Suburban....but it would bug the crap out of me if it was a nice mondial....

If you're going to put her in a mondial then I sincerely hope your wife is a more attentive driver than mine!

You can use her car for extra parts if needed ;) like having kids for a few extra kidneys and lungs (just in case :) :) :) )

My wife is actually a fantastic driver. Her main shortcoming is that she is relatively short at 5'4''. Will that be a problem in the low seating Mondial? Her other issue is that she is hard of hearing in one ear, but that could be good or bad in a Ferrari, depending on your perspective.

Cliff, I actually think a car like the Mondial t is good for women (and men for that matter) who multitask even while driving. I think that currently there is nothing more dangerous than using the cell phone/texting while driving. Forget about all the safety measures on new cars including air bags and energy absorbing frames. Highway deaths which are at a low right now are going to rise due to these omnipresent driver distractions. A car like the t demands more driver participation than all modern autos and for that reaon alone, I think it is ultimately a safer vehicle, even without a roof. The lower center of gravity and antilock brakes that the t has over my 3.2 only adds to that safety for her and my kids inside.

I definitely live by that philosophy. But I don't want to make the wrong decision for her. It clearly is the right decision for me. But that might just mean me having to move into the garage. With potentially two Ferrari's and not just one Ferrari hanging out in there with me, it might not be all that bad......:)

    It's a good thing that I don't smoke ;)

Lino, does she love sitting shotgun in it, or does she love driving it? World of difference IMHO, since I'm already completely content driving my Mondi and truly would want her happy behind the wheel of "hers".

I love the Mondials...but I have to throw some cold water on this...

When it comes to driving with 3 kids in it, the Volvo is a safer choice....Too many idiots driving out there...

It's exciting to know your wife likes a Mondial, but I have to wonder if she really likes it enough to have her own. My wife likes having one (a black 3.2 like your) but I don't know that she'd go do it on her own. Speaking of height, that is here one big complaint--she looks right into the windshield wipers. She's 5'-2", though.

I think YOU need to get a T instead of your 3.2, which will be a gift to both of you, and spend the cost difference on something that she really wants--diamonds, whatever. That way, she gets a car she will enjoy steering more and you'll probably like the power and lower center of gravity.
