That's what I love about GSP is that he gives you the opposite of what you expect and still beats you. Kos had never imagined GSP would stand with him. He thought for sure GSP would take it to the ground as much as possible. GSP stood and jabbed Kos's face until it broke.

K-1 was Awesome! I'm happy Overeem won. I was impressed by Saki, Actually all 3 guys Overeem fought. Spong was the dark horse of the tourney. Aerts Must have been on some kind of Juice. MAN WAS HE RIPPED!!!! I think Overeem has his number. I'm happy Schilts lost. That was an amazing performance by Aerts in the semi's.

I think was Saki was hurting pretty good heading into the fight with AO. But he was most impressive in the Ghita fight. That was an awesome fight and FOTN for me. And Aerts was just overmatched against AO. Only Overeem's second year in K-1 and he's the K-1 GP champ. Not too shabby.

Looking forward to WEC 53 on Thurs night. Talk about a stacked card. But I don't understand how they can have Varner/Roller in the prelims though. Hope they change that. I'm gonna miss the WEC I think. Every show they put on is outstanding. From a fan's point of view the more I think about the merger the less I like it. Let's see how the UFC does with it after a year or so.

Really looking forward to Pettis fighting the winner of the Edgar-Maynard fight. LW is one stacked to the rafters division. Cruz-Faber II will be a damn good jam too when that happens.

    +1 - LW is INSANE:

    Edgar
    Maynard
    Henderson
    Cerrone
    Varner
    Pettis
    Shalorus
    Miller
    Sotiropoulos
    Diaz
    Dunham
    Roller
    Oliveira
    Griffin
    Sherk
    Florian
    Pellegrino

And that's not counting BJ, who I think would probably destroy all of these guys short of Edgar and Maynard! Will any champ hold the belt for more than 2 times? I doubt it with this level of depth.

Pettis' kick - wow, all I have to say. The last few LW fights for both WEC and UFC have been really great - it's why the smaller guys have always been fun for me. Rumor has it that incoming bantamweights Cruz and Faber will coach next Ultimate Fighter - I love it!!!

Read today that Duffee could very well take on Overeem at Dream Dynamite on New Years Eve. If this turns out to be true, all I can say is that they better have a big body bag on hand....

Finally watched my recording of the event over the long weekend. Was a damn good show! Pettis was impressive, however I think Henderson can beat him 6 out of 10 times.

Love watching Cruz - that guy just doesn't stop moving. Incredible footwaork and head movement, some of the best in all of MMA.

Looks like it's the Reem and Duffee at Dream on Fri night. It hasn't been announced due to some visa issues but Duffee is now in Japan. Gotta say Duffee's got some big nads.....brains not so much...

And is Lesnar done with MMA? Seems it may be so. Read about it here.

Well, I can't stand Lesnar, but given what he's gone through with health and such, I can't blame him. That said... All his bravado about being so bad ass and then quitting as soon as he loses the title does make him look like a little punk bitc h.

Pick 'em for this weekend...... Mine are in bold.

    UFC 125: Resolution
    Date: Jan 01, 2011
    Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
    Venue: MGM Grand Garden Arena
    Broadcast: Pay-per-view

    MAIN CARD

    * Champ Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard (for lightweight title) I think Frankie avenges his loss. Even though he is Champ, I believe he is still vastly under rated.
    * Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann Gotta love Leben's heart!
    * Thiago Silva vs. Brandon Vera Vera, unfortunately, will probably be released if he loses this one.
    * Nate Diaz vs. Dong Hyun Kim Nate continues to impress.
    * Takanori Gomi vs. Clay Guida Very hard to handle Guida's pace. Gomi will have to do some early and serious damage.

    PRELIMINARY CARD (Ion Television)

    * Marcus Davis vs. Jeremy Stephens
    * Josh Grispi vs. Dustin Poirier
    * Phil Baroni vs. Brad Tavares

    PRELIMINARY CARD (Un-aired)

    * Mike Brown vs. Diego Nunes
    * Daniel Roberts vs. Greg Soto
    * Antonio McKee vs. Jacob Volkmann

    MAIN CARD

    * Champ Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard (for lightweight title) I think The Bully has Frankie's number. Like Frankie has BJ's.
    * Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann Gotta love Leben's heart! Agreed!
    * Thiago Silva vs. Brandon Vera Vera, unfortunately, will probably be released if he loses this one. Probably. FYI Ex-WEC Champ Jamie Varner was also just released.
    * Nate Diaz vs. Dong Hyun Kim Nate continues to impress.
    * Takanori Gomi vs. Clay Guida Very hard to handle Guida's pace. Great to see Clay back on a Main Card!

PRELIMINARY CARD (Ion Television) WTF is Ion Television anyways???

    * Marcus Davis vs. Jeremy Stephens
    * Josh Grispi vs. Dustin Poirier
    * Phil Baroni vs. Brad Tavares

    PRELIMINARY CARD (Un-aired)

    * Mike Brown vs. Diego Nunes

You think that can be determined after only having fought once? Really? Maynard is an awfully strong competitor, there's no denying that. It should be a great fight.

No not at all. In fact their first fight was long ago it's not even relevant other than perhaps in the back of Frankie's mind he's already lost to Maynard before. I think it will go 5 with Maynard's wrestling making the difference in a decision. Not to mention Maynard is a bigger and stronger LW. Will be a great fight for sure!

And FWIW it's official Reem vs Duffee on Fri night. Duffee has bitten off a bit more than he can chew with this fight...

Tito should retire if he loses to L'il Nog, and that will be a huge test for him. L'il Nog is a great fighter, with plenty of tools in his belt, perhaps even better than his brother.

OK I'm confused a bit here. Cain beats down Lesnar in less than a round barely breaking a sweat now 2 months later it's revealed he has a 90% tear of a rotator cuff that requires surgery and he's on the shelf for 6-8 months. Gotta say he sure didn't look too hurt during the fight and during all the interviews on MMA shows, Fox and guest appearances on shows like Lopez Tonight. Wouldnt' you think that an injury that severe would require immediate attention?
