That's always a question of personal taste, some owners prefer having cars with patina, others like to own an example which is restored by the highest skills like Bobileff... each to his own.

Probably... as Raymond wrote : some prefer to keep patina and to have it mechanically fixed... like mine will be in a short time.

Having the privilege to sit in #5028, I would keep it intact as Ferruccio smelled and touched its leather or washed & dried its body... just a question of point of view !

Not saying it should be restored at all.

    Just talking about "deferred maintenance"..

Well, that's a closer photo, I can make out the Lamborghini bull in the centre, and the text at the top could be Lamborghini something??, can't make it out.

Check out this EFI package from PMO. I'd think with a little engineering one could get this to work on a Miura. Who is up to the task of figuring out the electronics?

Doesn't look too difficult, I don't see why I couldn't set it up for you.

A better question might be why? The original Weber carbs are one of the signature features of this highly collectible car. In spite of their old-school quirks, it's part of the experience for most owners and a F/I conversion would almost certainly reduce resale value. I expect the purists would conspire to burn you at the stake ;)

I have a Miura that arrived from Switzerland recently, here for a complete ground up restoration. It was fitted with injection at the base of the carbs, the owner hated it, and currently, I'm bringing it back to stock configuration. Will post photo's tomorrow.

All valid points. I'm thinking it would be made to be entirely reversible, and would probably make the car more usable if done properly. Certainly would keep it from catching fire - I've had 2 instances on 2 cars where I've spotted fuel leaking from the carbs, and thankfully fixed it in time - that's no way to live. Can't wait to see Bobileffs pics.

Not quite what I expected. Apparently using the carbs as throttle bodies.

Wow, inventive! What did it use for a crank sensor?

Gary, anything about the VIN? since we had a yellow miura S with such a modification in switzerland, that was #4671, but unfortunately I have no picture of her engine.
