First I bought this for myself for Christmas, or let's just say, Santa brought it.

It's a very nice unit and has a 7/10 scale F430 steering wheel with functioning switches and buttons, etc. I only wish it had Force Feedback.

Then using a Sparco race seat that I took out of my Porsche, an old computer, an old 27" flat screen, and lots of 1"x1" square aluminum tubing, and some diamondplate, I built this race car simulator. I gotta do something when it's raining here in Cali.

It's a blast to drive. Right now I'm running F1 2002 and I'm Michael Shumacher of course. I'm told that there are newer and better driving games out for the PC now, so I need to do some shopping.
BTW Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

    Great job!

How is that setup? I got the Logitech GT Wheel / Pedals - they are ok, but the pedals feel cheap.

    Thanks,
    Erik

Bee Jay you rock buddy :). I was just looking at this game yesterday thinking of buying it for our exotic car club annual Christmas party lol. I bought one last year but not nearly as good as this one, we have races as the drinks flow and see who wins the Captain Chaos award:D.

But you took it to another level NICE!!!! strange thing I can picture as a kid not much different than now ha ha ha.

That is great!! I'm going to do exactly the same thing this winter! Look into buying an xbox 360 for Forza or F1 2010 (very hard game, I am no good at that one)

Thanks guys. Spent some time driving it today. It's raining outside. I'm up to Novice. Once up to intermediate I can drive out of the pits and shift for myself. Keeping these things on the road requires lots of patience and practice. It's like golf, get a turn right and your addicted. I need to bolt the pedals down and keep them adjustable for shorter drivers, especially grandkids.
