I own a 2006 F430. The heather comes on only when the AC is on (the AC OFF switch is out). When AC is OFF, I only get outside air which is cold in winter. I hate to drive with AC compressor on to get heath in the winter. The local Ferrari dealer tells me this is because of the new software which my car was loaded with!!! Does any one else have this problem? Please let me know.

No, I never have this problem with that wild and crazy girl.

When we get together, Heather ALWAYS comes when she's loaded.

I'm thinking you mean "heater" not "heather".

Oh, and welcome to FerrariChat. It is a very good first post.

You need the a/c compressor on for heat or a/c.

You need to come to grips with "Italian Logic".

There was a recent thread about this subject. You release the 'OFF' button ( it pops out), then you adjust the temp with the thermostat dial. Use the fan speed and direction buttons as desired.

It's perfectly clear. You press the off button to make the AC and heater function.
