Mal- Great first post and welcome to FerrariChat. I assume your car has an F1 system and is it an HGTC car? Will add you to our database tomorrow.

    Hi Terry,

My 575SA is an F1 but not a HGTC. When I bought it I understood that it had the Fiorano Handling Pack but with standard brake system. I'm yet to check out the FHP - (the brake calipers are alloy in colour not red).

I am interested in accessing and adding to a database if one exists covering the 559 Superamerica units produced, (ie. number by destination country, colours, transmissions, HGTC's etc. etc.). I managed to get some data on the 63 UK vehicles. I understand about 170 vehicles went to the U.S. and either 6 or 8 to Australia. Any ideas?

    cheers, Mal

Mal- Will have to ask Domenic if he can find it on the speed team site. Only time I tried that site, I got a trojan warning from my anti-virus software and have been too chicken to go back. Your SA will be added soon. I had to make some table adjustments and that is taking some time. Word is not my strong suit. Note I have never seen a compilation of options and color data from Ferrari. May exist, I just have not seen it.

Measure the diameter of your rear anti-roll bar to confirm you have FHP. Normal is 17 mm, FHP is 21 mm in diameter. Will show your car as FHP until I know better. Silver calipers were one of the FHP choices. Default color was red.

Gianni- Will make the change when I add Mal's car.

Late in 575M production, at Assembly No. 57934, SN 140,XXX, a new F1 clutch position sensor with waterproof cable was introduced for the 575M. If a clutch change is made, it is usually advisable to change the clutch position sensor, especially if your car is still fitted with the old style sensor and cable.

Note the transmission and clutch must be moved/removed to change this sensor.

Having sold my 575M, serial 139805, after 3 years ownership and 80.000 km, I bought a 599, which is - out of my personal point of view - too much "play station" apart from having an unsatiesfying setup of the sport and race modus.

So I am in process to buy a manual 575M HGTC, serial Nr. 141272, which will be a future classic. I hope that the car is as good as it was promised by the seller.

    Regards
    Johnny

Johnny- Sounds like a very nice car. My records show it is silver/black with manual transmission, but I do not have the Assembly Number. Send me that and I will add her to our data base. I have records of only five manual HGTC cars.

Terry, I will send the Assembly Nr. and all further details as soon as I will get them after having inspected 141272. There is a "twin" manual HGTC existing. I will send you those details as well to contribute to your records.

    Regards
    Johnny

    Hi Alex,

Very nice to see s/n 133414 again, as I spotted it back in 2004 here in Munich, at my local dealer S+T when it was new. It had cuoio seats back then, which looked a bit strange since the rest of the interior was black. I think the seats are now black too?

    Ciao,

    Lars T.

Here are Alex's cousin's Nero/Nero 575M 133414 and the Grigio Silverstone/Cuoio, HGTC Superamerica 144232 JJ hopes to own soon. I thought Silverstone was an out of range color, which it was in 2004, but maybe not for 2005, since JJ's supplemental list of Superamericas includes two other Silverstone cars. Need a color chart for Ferrari paint in 2005, I guess. Silverstone and CdF are both beautiful dark gray colors.

JJ- The database only includes cars for which we have the serial number and assembly number. The database was created to go with the updates list, which shows when changes in equipment were made for the 575M. Since I now have a Superamerica parts catalog, I need to revise the update list to include the Superamerica if there were any changes made during SA production. SA, 575M, and 612 production overlapped for a short period of time in 2005, so there may be some weird stuff happening of which we are unaware. Unbelievably, the first 612 owners manuals were printed in 2003. Not too accurate, naturally.
