Not sure about this but there was a 308 with a minor Gto bodykit before with those upright mirrors etc. but I did see a pic of an ex-race Daytona with it's livery parked in a workshop garage here! Let me see if I can ever dig that pic out. The 288GTO can be imported but not registered & possibly kept in a bonded warehouse. Got to pay 7% duty etc unless it's in the tax-free zone. This is one of my childhood poster car & watch it's price skyrocketed from USD200K..... is it like USD800K now? It's so rare.
Unfortunately HS doesn't seem to have a 288 in their collection. Pic here shows a UK 288 undergoing some work somewhere east of London. This car split into two during a track session crash and was patched up in time to win a concours event! Told to me by the workshop manager. That's how good UK restorers are hence the number of classics still running around. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It been long time didnt see any outing photos here, is there any X'mas & New Year outing photos coming soon?
Yeah I used to have Speedline Challenge wheels (original) on the car. Think I may still have them actually!!! Why did he change to Quicksilver exhaust?? The Challenge was bloody nice and expensive... That is seriously worth considering!!! There was also a pearlescent white 308 with Gemballa bodywork on it. I wonder what happened to that car? Could also still consider the two 328s owned by the guy in Leonie Hills. Same to you bro!!! I'm still recovering.... from a night I don't actually remember much of...
How long did it take for you to get home from tonight's outing? Betcha Derek is sinking his teeth into a hot biscuit and some good ole country friend chicken!
sorry guys missed the drive... was literally stuck at a party with 6-7 cars in the driveway blocking my getaway! that pearl 308 is still around im sure , i believe it has a koenig 288-esque body kit with twin turbo so shld move pretty good. roy teo still has his 328s too i believe
Thanks for showing up guys & gals. We had a short blast, not too bad actually considering the rather heavy traffic but think we spent more time over tea as we finished around 12.30am! Glad we weren't pulled over along ECP, a very bright GTR was caught by two TPs on my way home. Damn, I'm hungry now. Vex, I want 5 star chicken rice!
Hi! Happy New Year! Here's some of the photos of the drive just now. Enjoy!
