I did a search but did not find much. What is the reliability of the Diablo (not 6.0), i have read about the Murcielago being extremely reliable. I was just seeing what the general consensus is.

    Thank you!

I have been driving my 98 for 8 months straight, pretty much every day,no issues except for a small valve cover leak,( could happen to any car ) it never left me walking or calling for help, checked my brakes the other day they look the same as they did 8 months ago, i can`t complain.

It is a reliable car, if it is serviced and driven on a semi-regular basis.

Below items can and will fail, just a matter of time.

    1. Clutch rod (although not expensive to fix, will leave you stranded)
    2. Front Shocks, lift system, (expensive fix)
    3. Exhaust manifolds cracks (for U.S spec cars and Roadsters)

I totaly dis-agree with the WILL FAIL portion of your statement...unless you me at some great amount of miles, which would be for just about any car with miles attached and driven

My car has over 42K miles on it..AND NONE of the items you list have failed OR are in current need of replacement.

As far as front shocks, you can now have those replaced/rebuilt for under 600 a piece..HOWEVER it can be totaly avoided buy NOT LEAVING your car in the up position when parked and causing the un-do strain on the shock pressure and bladder system..

But as with all things, cars, girls, homes, vacations...it always seems that the "bad" things get lots of press..after all when is the last time you saw a post of headline..

"My high mile Lambo..no issues and it's GREAT" ??

thank you all for the input. Over all seems good, not like some cars that have a tendency to just go KABOOM.
