Do you think I'am impressed by you quoting MS's uncaring feats, I cannot believe for the life of me why you would do that.

Just shows how desperate and low you can go I suppose.

Just to remind you: Hamilton was on engine save mode, and asked for clarification from his team that JB (not on engine save mode) would not attempt to pass him. JB passed him, so Hamilton cranked it back up and retook him... big deal.

You just prove the point of senseless bashing to a T. thanks..:)

I will go out on a limb and say 98% of uis here don't HATE him - or HATE anyone, we just want him (them) to shut up and drive.

Again, I don't view this as Hamilton being a threat to Ferrari - I think we (Ferrari) welcome the competition. Hammy is as good as anyone else out there, as I said, we just want him to shut up and drive.

When Vettel drove for Toro Rosso, we also said 'WOW - A guy that can shut up and DRIVE!'. We like the competition.

If he was an american athlete competing in an american sport, he would be eaten alive by the press and his own team if he made stupid excuses like those he is putting forth.

...Although referring to him as a "champion" sort of waterboards the word.

Everyone, everywhere has to deal with the flotsam of life and "just get on with it". When someone who's been coddled and pampered every moment of every day of their professional career complains of "life" intruding and hampering their multimillion dollar lifestyle it galls more than just a little bit.

Those outside intrusions were big factors in Hammy driving into Massa at Monza and trying to pass Weber in Singapore....please.

Want to know the difference between McLaren and Ferrari? McLaren's knucklehead is behind the wheel and Ferrari's is behind the pitwall...

When your at the top I believe there is only one direction left.
IMO its harder to stay on top mentally than to get there in the first place.

It seems that you've done a Chris Waddle when it comes to the point I was making!

Your clarification is a comparison of apples and oranges, fruitless, and way of the mark like Waddle, carry on clutching at straws.

Then a complete disregard for his other quote I posted.

    Again read it slowly
I look forward to more of your senseless blinkered bashing...:)

Two Formula 1 World Champions, both of whom had "outside intrusions" during a season, One managed to stay focused, win races on the very day of the "intrusions" and went on to win the Championships in both of those two years.

The other claims that the reason he lost the Championship is because "outside intrusions" distracted him from the job at hand.

That to Me is comparing Golden delicious to Granny Smiths.

(Just to add another year of Schumacher over coming an "Intrusion" (albeit an inside intrusion), 1994, Schumacher watches Senna crash to his death right in front of his eyes but still goes on to win the race on the day and the championship that year).

It doesn't matter how slowly I read his other quote, all it says is that he is not happy with the job he did and doesn't like the fact that he finished 4th.

Try reading the original article again (at whatever speed you like): http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/249786/hamilton-outside-intrusions-cost-me/

The entire article is about how everything in his private life cost him the Championship, implying that without those distractions he would have won. To Me it shows that he cannot accept the fact that he simply wasn't fast enough or good enough to win the WDC and that other drivers/teams did a better job. (To be fair to him, he didn't take the easy option of blaming the car or the team but then again, that's probably more to do with how McLaren have molded him as one of their drivers).

As I have posted previously, Hamilton claims to be a "real racer" and yet has come up with what I consider a poor excuse for losing the Championship, especially when compared to the "outside intrusions" that Schumacher suffered and yet still managed to overcome.

    You say:
I'm not trying to impress anyone, merely showing that a real racer overcomes the "outside intrusions".

You say MS is uncaring, I say no, he's not uncaring, he's just more professional than Hamilton, based on Hamiltons excuse.

Senseless?, If you cannot see the logic in what I have posted then I'm afraid it is not Myself who is blinkered.

At the end of the day, as is the case with many of these subjects, I can see that we will have to agree to disagree and leave it at that with no hard feelings. :)

Kraftwerk is just, per usual, being overly defensive about an article that portays Hamilton in an unfavorable light. No matter any way you slice this, it sounds unprofessional.

    Oh and:

"I'd only give myself 6 out of 10 - Hamilton
    28 December 2010
Britain’s Lewis Hamilton has revealed he would only give himself six out of ten for his performances during the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship. Indeed while he was in contention for the title right until the end, he was not happy that he only won three races and he was not pleased at all with fourth place in the drivers’ championship.

"It's been a long time since I finished out of the top three of a championship in my career," the 2008 F1 World Champion said in an interview with BBC Radio One.

"We had a solid couple of bad races where I lost points which would have put me in a much stronger position to compete for the championship at the end of the year and really just throughout the year in general

"Finishing fourth [overall in the standings] is not something that I'm particularly proud of," he concluded.."

    ...

    Yeah, real long.

Kraftwerk and Myself both know where our loyalties lie and occasionally we have a bit of verbal sparring but it's never personal and as I say, I'm quite happy to agree to disagree with no hard feelings either way, he's a nice guy at the end of the day! (Perhaps a bit miss guided, but then I am a bit biased Myself! ;) ).

To be fair, technically speaking Hamilton has admitted that he didn't do a good enough job last season, I just don't think he's being totally honest in making out that the problem was solely the "outside intrusions". It may be his: "I'm a real racer" mentality that is preventing him from admitting, even to himself, that he wasn't quite good enough and that others did a better job.

For Me, I'd give him a lot more credit if he'd admitted that others did a better job than he did and were just plain faster than he was last season and that he'll give it another go next season and the season after etc., etc.

The point I was originally trying to make was that for a professional racing driver and a "real racer", the "outside intrusion" excuse seemed a bit weak to Me.

BTW, Kraftwerk: A belated Happy New Year to you Sir!, I hope 2011 is a fantastic year for you and all your family!. :)

I don´t think he could have won the title if his head was clear but i´m positive he would have done better. If you head isn´t straight then it will show in the racing for sure.

Lewis has the biggest talent out of all F1 drivers, i would rank him as high as Senna but i know people disagree on that.

I think he has many titles to take before he retires as one of the greatest F1 drivers to ever set his foot in this planet.

In pt2 of the season he made a few silly mistakes and went for non existent gaps that cost him at least 2nd place in the WDC.

These where heat of the moment mistakes and I think sweet F all to do with his head being in the wrong place.
