I bought the Lexus IS F for the DTM championship. It's only 750K.

Actually I love it. Just won a Nuerburgring race with it against a bunch of Le Mans cars. Yes, it is tricky to control, but I rarely give it full throttle. Just a few blips to keep ahead of the other cars is all that's needed. On the long straight you can go to full power and watch the Group C cars disappear in the mirror.

What I love most about it is the way it decelerates: Hit the brakes and it stops. Immediately. I was driving the LFA and it felt like it had no brakes (or as Clarkson would put it: brakes made of Gruyere cheese).

The X saves me a ton of money as I don't have to buy new cars to match the opposition all the time.

Just bought a Ruf 3400 (?) in the used car section: Basically a beefed up Boxster. Gave it a new oceano blue paint job and an engine and chassis overhaul. Great car, just lacking the interior.

You have to pay attention to the used car lots for the RUF cars. I have the BTR and CTR2 currently. There are wayyyyyy too many mundane cars in GT :(

I read that the used car section updates after a "GT day", which means after one completed race or one license test (event doesn't need to be completed). So that's what I do: Check the section after every race.

I'm also looking for the Honda CRX. I missed it once, hoping it comes back eventually: That was one of my first cars I ever had. :)

    Thanks! Appreciated!

A friend of mine just started out with GT5 and I gifted him a souped up M5 (spent like 200k in upgrades on that sucker). Should put a smile on his face killing the competition. :)

My first car ever was a Chevrolet Vega with a stick. And that was back in Europe... Was about as rare there as is a Countach here.

Do you have a SuperGT car I can borrow (you'll get it back the day after)? If so, I can send you a X2010 in about 24 hours. There's a 24h restriction for every car you send, I just sent one to a friend...

The touring NSX's, GT-R's, Supra's etc. The level 20-22 touring cars by the Japanese brands, in the premium dealer. Those ones :)

Super GT has is a two class race, both classes are in the game. There's the GT300 with 300 horsepower and GT500 with about 500 horsepower. The Super GT races on Extreme are with the GT500 cars but you can also use JGTC cars which was the old Super GT. After F1 Super GT has to be the most exciting racing IMO, if only I could understand Japanese, they also ran a privateer Ferrari GT2 team on GT300 class.

I really need to get a wheel and pedal set-up, I can't stand playing the higher level races with a controller. Oh the life of a poor college student :(

EDIT: How many B-spec drivers would you guys say you need for the top level races? I want to start beefing my bobs up.

My Bobs seem to last 10/15 mns before they run out of strength. I have 4 now, lvl 24/27. Get 2 more at least, put them in a Formula GT and have them run Indy, they will lvl up very fast.

I've been looking for the Alfa DTM car forever! Where did you find it? It was one of my fav's on GT4, and I built the exact scale model of it.

My B-spec racers are 35, 34, 34, 33 now. You can get them up fast doing the Indy, then put them in the Formula GT for the endurance races. They level up pretty quick. I've done a lot of B-spec lately due to being stuck in bed for 6 days, then in-laws stayed over so I had to hide the chair/wheel. :) Just about to unlock Le Mans 24hr! Now if I could only get there in A-Spec...

EDIT: I buy every RUF I see in used lot. If you need one in particular, let me know. I'll send any over that I have dupes of. :)

I've hit a wall here. I need something faster than the modded Ford Mark IV, I skipped passed the Historic Challenge because I couldn't place better than second & B-spec drive can't even finish in the top six. What is a faster car & can someone loan it to be just to get though this series so me & my B-Spec driver can move on to other events? The car will be returned once I finish these A/B Historic Challenge events.

I'm currently at A:23/B:16 & saving for the Formula GT, my next racing series. Looks to be a pain in the arse long event.

You should be able to beat it using the Ford Mark IV. Did you set it up? Which track are you having trouble beating, both?

I beat this series with the Ferrari 330 P4. I can send it to you but it will be a few days though.
