    I have just noticed that my parts book is from a 246L not an M.

    Is there any difference (apart from the final drive ratio which is stamped on my gear box and different from the parts manual) between the L and M series gear box parts and ratios ?

    Hello Snowy,
    they look the same from outside but inside there are differences.
    For example the lubrication changed...

    Rick, take a look at the post about my L gearbox. Lots of stuff in there that shows the differences.
