Ferraris en Venezuela - Branko remembered July 2, 2011

The car is 0758, here is a picture when it was used as a street car by Ernesto Piovesan, does anyone know about the bulges? didnt have them when it was Marcotulli's and Galia's.

They probebly need that space to converting the houdailly shocks in to the newer longer Koni's shocks.
thats is not an improvement imo:
The old Houdailles could be ADJUST the first Koni's cannot.
But that a guess.
But very nice done.

piovesan was supposed to be a very good mechanic/fabricator.

 

Pete, by cheking the pictures, those bulges where done while in Rodrigo Borges hands, actually Piovesan traded that car for one he made called Piovesan 1 powered by a Renault 1300 engine.

what the name race in april at Caracas?

 

The name of the race was 2 horas de Caracas held at Los Proceres on april 17 1955 and the winner was Joao Rezende Dos Santos, havent figured what car yet.

This is the first picture I got from Jerry Gomez his father Barry Peter Gomez de Freitas owned 0758 for a couple of years before Tito Feijoo, it is also the first picture with the car painted in blue.
I am making a new list of owners with the new findings.

I am trying to find history of the Alfa 1900 Zagato that is in back of the Ferrari.
These are the only old pictures we have seen, and the only race we can verify.
I'll post the name of the owner of that car when I get to my file.

Now that we moved more than 3000 miles
The driver of tha Alfa Zagato is Carlos Lucero, with helmet in the middle on the right Joao Rezende dos Santos, the winner of the race held in dec 18 1955, on the left the president of the Auto Club Colombia.
