John, I'm doing the swiss part for my own, I send my cars to Glen, my registry is not public.
Marcel (Marcello) uploaded the pictures from 2002.

There is a Islero Registro here as well: http://www.lamborghiniregistry.nl/default.asp?010030000000/001

No pages on each car, but a nice overview of the surviving Islero's

    Ciao!

Thanks guys for the photos..... Erik u took that pic in '06, i saw the car at concorso that year. About 9 months later I had heard of an Islero for sale somewhere in Northern CA. turned out to be the blue car I had seen... What luck!... Thanks for the registry info....
Raymond can you help with info about it's time in Switzerland? Is there a way to look up registration history? Thanks.

Uuh, that's nearly impossible since they don't keep the records that long, I heard the limit is 20 years.

    Great period pictures!

The car on the first three pictures is Islero GT #6150.

The fourth picture is Islero GT #6243 (with the wire wheels). I remember a picture with a Swiss red 350GT which was taken at exactly the same place/time (with the Subaru's in the background).

Any idea which VIN belongs to the Islero GTS on the last picture ?

I found some of my old notes saying that this car is #6555.

    The GTS is 6674.

I didn't know about the one with the wire wheels being 6243, interesting! Did you notice that it has the small GTS air vents? Just like 6288. Interesting to see them on a period picture. I wonder id it's a factory mod.

    Hi Ed,

I have that car in my files as #6671.
The Italian history of does not fit however, and #6674 does.

It is also pictured in the Lamborghini Buyer’s Guide with the caption “..was the last to leave the factory on April 15, 1970."

That is correct (if we leave #6677 out of this) for #6674.

But the Italian owner of #6671 claims it is his car.

#6674 was original bronze, looks like that is possible on the pictures.

#6674 was also mentioned by Rob Box, so it all makes sense.

Was the number writen somewhere on the photo Ed?

    Great pictures!!!

    Ciao!
    Marcello

Yes, perfect! We already thought this since it seems to have a black interior instead of bordeaux. So this is Bo's car;-) Thanks for the confirmation!

The picture was taken at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto in February 2008.

The Islero GTS could be #6408 which was reported as in Canada as of 1989 by Lou. I checked with Lou and he told me that the pictures don't match #6408 exactly, but it is possible as many years have gone by and it might have been restored or altered.

    Very nice Ed!!!
Note the mirror is mounted on the fender, not on the door.
And below the side trim, the paint is black.

So I have this car as the 1970 Geneva Auto Salon car, last production built Islero.
This car might be in Austria now, but not confirmed.

    Ciao!

    Hi Marcel,

There are a couple of other things that surprise me.
The first one is that it seems that it misses the GTS fake fuel cap on the left. But maybe is it due to the picture quality.
The second one is that it seems that it has the bull emblems on the spinners which was very rare at the time, since it is more likely an add-on from the modern restorers.

Please post more pictures of 6243. I am the present owner of it. It is hard to tell from the b/w photo if the car was its original Bronzo Scuro or the Metalizzato Blu Acrilico it was painted later. I'm very interested in seeing the car with wires. You mentioned small GTS air vents, are you referring to the vents under the front grill?

    Hi Joe,

Unfortunately, I've only got one other picture of 6243, which is almost the same as the one I posted previously. I'll scan it later. Maybe kc023515 can help as he's got a colour picture of a 350GT that was taken at the same place/time.
Yes I was refering to the small air vents that are under the front grill.
    Best regards,

    Ed.
