    Hi
Once upon a time, French manufacturers knew how to build sport cars. The Alpine A110 berlinette was the first WRC champion car and the A310 was built to be its road counterpart. The car had a 2.7 liters V6 but had some fiability problems. Alpine was bought by Renault and that was the end of risks and creativity, and of Alpine.

Anyway, we were looking for snow for this shooting and snow we got. And even some sun. Please visit this page for the complete report:

Enjoy, here is a little teaser

Great car, nice pictures, and even greater article/report on that link!

... there is great stuff in your arthomobiles.fr site! As a Maserati aficionado, I of course particularly liked your recent article on the 4200 GT.

    Cheers,
    Gabriel

    Thanks,
I certainly hope to shoot the Maserati again in a best planned location. But some Ferraris shall come first :)

The A110 is quite possibly my favourite design, the 310 not far behind. I can't believe the prices 110s now go for, my only chance to own one will likely come from Mexico with a Dinalpine variant.

Thank you for the lovely photos, I can relate completely as most of my region is covered in neige aussi...;)

I think Renault R5 turbos are still pretty cheap.
Not exactly a 110 but a neat little bomb anyhow.

I always thought this car looked cool but I never knew anything about it. I'll have to get that article translated so I can read it. Awesome pics.

What are these going for anyhow?
I remember when Hemmings had a couple years back for IIRC about $30k.
I thought they were a bit underpowered for the money.

about 20K$ right now i think, for a good car. Underpowered they are: 150 hp but very light also, less than 1000 kg

I haven't seen them for sale that often, but $15-25K is what I remember. They are cool looking cars, but it'd be hard for me to shell out the money when you could have a 968 for quite a bit less, or a 944 for a lot less.

I like your pictures of it, looks really good in the snow!

Great photos. I really like the Alpines and would love a 110 or 310.

Check out this link of an A310 racing in the snow:

Even the Dinalpins are very expensive. I've been looking for one for years and prices are over the top.

That A310 is an awesome car. Really nice shots.

I wish there were more for sale in the US. Would make a great alternative to a classic 911.

I love the A310. Wanted one from FRance. But you are right. There are too expensive for what they are when in good shape as most are very high mileage. I guess the strong Euro is at play.
the A110 is also overvalued IMO for a 4 cylinder, except for the cars which have famous racing background.
In general cars in eruope are much more expensive than in the US. I still hope to get a good deal on an A310 one day when I'll go visit my relatives.

Lovely car! Brings back memories of being a young American in the '80s longing for the untouchable Euro cars (R5 Turbo comes to mind)!
