HOLY HELL! I just started doing the level 30 sebastian vettle challenge... NS GP circuit time of 2:12.7 ... I know a 2:10.x is in my; but putting it down in two consecutive laps is damn hard! The car is farking WILD! Tomorrow I'll try the next two circuits. I'm thinking I'll be happy with bronze or silver with these ones... the world comes at you sooooo fast!

What did you win the American Cup on level 23 (A-spec) with? I've won the second race, Laguna Seca, with 100% tuned Ford GT. But I don't stand a chance in the other race, at the oval race track. I keep losing traction and therefore speed in the corners, trying to keep up with the two mighty Ford GT's in front on me.

The **** is getting serious now. I think I'm gonna stay away from GT5 for a long, long time after I've done the Extreme modes in both A- and B-spec. Taking too much of my spare time and I've actually got every car in the game that I wanted (I think... Stilling looking for that Koenigsegg they used as a show off car in some of the pre-launch trailers, though). Can't begin on Endurance

 

I won! Used the Nascar car (Jeff Gordon Chevrolet Impala w/ chassis rigidity tuning). Won the Nascar cup today too, 1st place on all first four races, but last on the last one (gave me gold medal though, I'm happy).

FormulaGT and Dreamcar left in A-spec Extreme

 

I don't remember what I won this Championship with, I think it was my Race Mod'd Z06.

I haven't attempted the Formula GT Championship yet but I have practicing with my FGT. Talk about extreme racing, the FGT is a go-cart on steroids! I have been doing tons of practice laps around Fuji in the FGT just to get use to the handling and now I am starting to pull off some good lap times. I finally entered the FGT into the Fuji race and was able to pull off a second place finish.

I've also start practicing around the Indy Road course. When I entered the Indy race I was able to win it.

I have also begun practicing around Côte d'Azur and wow that is one difficult circuit! I'm going to need a lot more practice before entering this event.

After I have practiced at all of the tracks and done the individual events I'll then try to do the Championship. I'm really looking forward to being done with the FGT.

The Dreamcar Championship shouldn't be too difficult to win with the Minolta. Once I complete the Extreme Series I'll probably be done with the A-spec racing. I seriously doubt that I'll bother with the A-spec Endurance races.

 

I beat "Like the Wind' last night with the Zonda, What I forget to do all this time was TURN OFF THE DRIVING ASSISTS. This makes such a difference & gave the the advantage I need to finish that event at Indy. This unlocked the Toyota Minolta for me to use for the ALL STARS event in B-Spec mode. I came in first in the series but did get second in one event for not keeping an eye on B-Spec Bob, there was one course it was difficult for him to pass.

Nah, my goal is completing Extreme in A- and B-spec, and I'm pretty sure I'm taking a brake from the game for some weeks/months after that.

I finished 67% last time I checked, it should be 70% by the end of A-spec Extreme. If you've done 70% of a relatively massive Gran Turismo, you don't need excuses to quit

 

I'm pretty sure you can use the Formula Gran Turismo car for the Dreamcar Championship, which should walk away from the rest of the field fairly easily.

 

I'm currently at 93% completed. Unfortunately, I'll never have the time to complete an A-spec 24 hour race. Perhaps a 2 or a 4 hour race is possible but 24 hours, for me, is not feasible.

The only way that I could ever attempt those races is to pause it every couple of hours or so. But since I do most of my racing on the weekend it would take me 3 or 4 months. I'm not leaving my PS3 on for 4 months straight!

It has never been my goal to complete Gran Turismo, I've yet to complete any of them. I've had a ton of fun just taking my favorite cars, Ferraris, Lambos, out on the track and just do lap without racing them.

But I have to say, since I've met a lot of other GT fans here and other places online I have been driven (no pun intended) further into the game.

 

I picked up the truck in the online dealer, thanks for the tip. I have the first 2 series in aspec completed.

I'm trying to get enough money to buy a lambo for their series.


B spec is pretty hard, It seems like it has very limited inputs and my guy crashes allot.

 

B-spec Bob is a terrible driver until your near level 25+ The best route to take in B spec is have 200 hp on the competition, and to 'cool' him down for turns where he crashes. Let me know what car you'd like, and if I have it, I'll send you it... fully tuned Gallardo or LP670? Ferrari 458 fully tuned?

 

For the most part B-spec really isn't that difficult. It does seem aggravating in the beginning but as you grind through the levels it gets better. In the beginning put him in a car that outclasses the field and he will win. One tip is not to let him get to overheated, when he does he will make a lot of mistakes.

I have my B-spec driver grinding through the Endurance Series right now with no input from me. I just put them in a car and let him drive for 3 or 4 hours.

 

WTH is the deal with that you can play FormulaGT at level 23, but if you wanna buy it you have to be level 24?? I can see it on the online dealer but it will take forever (aka. 3-5 days) just to level up and I'm NOT keen on playing races I've already won, again and again.

I do! Zonda C12S... Want it? Can send it to you in about 12 hours... Bought it gray, painted it black (looks evil with the original dark grey wheels). Could I get a FormulaGT in return, if it's not too much to ask? It'll save me 5.000.000...



Got a tip to do the Seasonal races to gain lots of experience points. Whoah... I leveled up from 23 to 24 in a heartbeat! (Two races of 5 laps each)
So now I'm on to doing the second last race on Extreme; Dreamcar. I was gonna try FormulaGT, but it's 120 laps in total, gonna do it next weekend instead.

If you still don't have the FGT, i'll lend it to you for the X2010. Let me know and i'll do it tonight..

Thanks for the Zonda but I was actually looking for the 2002 Zonda C12S 7.3. The 2002 model has the larger 7.3L engine.

I saw it once in the used car lot but haven't seen it again.

 

Did anybody else earn the Red Bull X2010 car?

I managed to get bronze in the 1st race by a wide margin@ Nurburgring GP/F... enough that I'm sure I can manage a silver. The second race it was a less wide margin @ Monza... about 2 seconds, and Suzuka was a huge pain in the arse!!! I barely squeased out by 4/10ths of a second from not making it.

How on earth do they expect the lap times for gold out of those!!!

Aha... That was embarrassing. I thought all C12S' were the same. My bad. Will look after it on the use market and let you know if I find the 7.3 version.
