Here's the same car at the Modena Motorsport Track Days two years ago at the Nürburgring. This is so far the only not red F40 that I've seen. First I thought the car was black, only after a closer look I recognized that it was a drark blue.
I hope the car will be again at MMTD this year.

Strictly speaking, that's not Blu Pozzi, but rather, his own darker interpretation of same.

Very attractive - thanks for the video.

Someone wrote that there is a Swaters Blue F40 LM in a private collection in the US. Would certainly love to see a picture of that.

Lol that's weird ;-) A layer of kevlar, then a layer of rosso corsa paint and then another layer of (fake) kevlar...

interresting aspect, is it something like an "adhesive"? does somebody has an address or a web site showing such application for a "carbon wrap"?

the CF wrap on a F40 isn't my cup of tea either, but interesting none the less

    i believe it is a 3M product

It is Dinoc, exceptional depth and luster to it.
You need to see it in person instead of strictly judging a two dimensional photo

Relax, I wasn't judging the quality of the wrap. I just think it's a bit odd to see a carbon wrap on a car that's made out of carbon...

although the F40 uses carbon fiber panels visible in the interior, the body work is actually kevlar & glass, which is the yellow-ish sections you see bare on the inner side of the doors/boot/bonnet

so naked the F40 is actually yellow-ish LOL

Very true. So a straight-out-of-the-factory naked F40 would look like a turt from a dog with food poisoning. People are just spoiled by companies like Pagani and Koenigsegg who believe working with carbon is like an art form. Wow look mom, no paint...

I love carbon/kevlar for the benefits it brings to motor sports and in the end super cars. But I don't understand why you would try to turn a material in an art form just to distinguish yourself from companies with more history and class. Let alone buy some plastic foil to make your car look like something it was never meant to be...

Just my 2 cents (in euros, keep the change) before logging of...

This color looks great whether its Blu Pozzi or not :)

I'm sorry, but this is just horrible. Maybe its the angle of the photo though. Anymore pictures?

Wait until they try to remove that wrap with the thin paint on the F40. One of the reasons to stay away from clear bras or like adhesive materials on the older cars. Depending on the product used, storage conditions, etc. the wrap could potentially remove the paint when peeled off. The prep process back in the 90s and earlier wasn't the same as it is today and couple that with a single stage application (hence why you can see the weave) could make for a painful removal process.
