Yes a 24-carat gold version has been optional on every Rolls Royce from the factory since 1921.

It is a $5,180 option on the current cars.

 

Must be gold plated. For a moment i was wondering why they would use the very soft 24 karat gold for it and not at least 22 or 18. A true 18 karat in rose gold would be stunning!

 

Yes it is 24-carat gold plated, wish mine hid inside the radiator housing like the new ones because I would not want to pay for a replacement!

 

Amen, i remember in the 80's when working with a RR dealer how hood ornaments would get stolen on a regular basis even with various deterrents. Really miss the older style solid front grills versus what they use now (curved slats), which is probably due to the darn US human impact laws.
