Dinky toys pre WW2

I've got about 40 car all in concour condition,no boxes as they were never sold with them.
Were my fathers,just been wrapped in paper for 30 years.
Are they worth anything,best place to sell.

Perhaps list all of them in one collection on Ebay?

Old Dinky toys are very,very collectable and worth serious $ in most cases.

Every month there is a collectors meet at a scout hall in Forrest Hill and lot's of collectors/sellers go there..........

Get them valued and then either sell them on Fleabay individually or as a lot or perhaps through someone like Shannon's at one of their auctions?

They look to be from the 50's and 60's.
Searching ebay wil give you an idea of the value.
If you have original boxes the models are worth significantly more.
You will do better selling them individually, I would suggest ebay as then you have a worldwide market to sell to.

Ill give ya $20 for the lot so I can give them to my kids to play with in the sand pit.

P.S-I dont have any kids yet.

 

the old ones are prewar and i'm told never came with boxes.

the guys name is Giles Moon, he conducts huge toy auctions several times a year and they have had him on the ABC 'The Collectors" as their toy expert.

ide say they would be worth quiet a bit bj, maybe get a collector or an expert to appraise them ...

 

they just are all wrapped up for years better with a collector whom will enjoy 'em.

 

It's never a waste. Nice toys are always worthwhile to have around, regardless of whether they are full scale or 1/43.

A mixed bag there though. Some pre-WW2, some pre/post (like the nice BMW/Frazer Nash, that is a BMW 328 pre-war, or Frazer Nash post-war) then the 1960's Corgi Major Chipperfield Circus set, though there are a couple of vehicles missing from that set, at least in the pic.

I reckon keep them. But if they really do have to go, consult the specialists as suggested as to what a realistic value should be.

 

there is a heap more just need to find them,there is a MG record car like Sir george eyston type car.

 

I think you should display them.Your garage could be the place.
Lash out and get some display cases and hang em on the walls..........













alternativly you could put em in my port and I,ll bring em back up here..
