Took delivery today of my latest edition to the stable. Sadly only had chance for a 10 mile first drive this morning but it was immediately noticeable how much easier it is to drive than the F50. I fear 4 days worth of detailing may have gone out the window due to the damp and muddy roads but this mornings drive will stay etched in my memory forever - and besides the car can be detailed again...

For those wanting the all important chassis number it is 103820 one of those "extra" cars, comparing with the higher numbered 104832 from the F50.

Over the coming months I am looking forward to putting some miles on the Enzo and post some more pics hopefully when the weather is kinder.

    Matt.

Congratulations!!It looks stunning...I havent driven mine in 8 weeks and it just reminded me of how much I miss it...Roads in the UK are rubbish right now, I just didn't want to get salt and grime everywhere...But then perhaps it is worth it!!
I'd be interested to hear what you think vs the F50. The F50 is one of the greatest Ferraris ever in my opinion and certainly one of the most exciting to drive...Having said that it is often overlooked as it usually ranks 3rd or 4th in peoples "dream garages" in terms of desirability... I recently had the opportunity to buy a "friend" for the Enzo and I bought a 288...The F50 is next...!

2 down, 2 to go? :) ... congrats on the new addition!

speaking of "extra" cars, it is now the unofficial "truth" that more than 400 Enzo's were built?

    Congratulations Matt! :D

I wouldn't worry about detailing, cars are supposed to be enjoyed by being driven. ;)

Where in the UK are you based? :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Doh! Yes, the second picture makes that fairly clear. I was only looking at the third. In my opinion, the 355 > 360. Great choices.

    Matt,
Congrats on this stunning example. I like the Enzo but after the 250 SWB the F50 is my favorite f-car.

    George,
    did you sell the 599GTO???

Yes I sold the 599GTO to make room for the 288GTO... Believe it or not Ferrari were not amused, so beware 599GTO owners out there... I now have my two dream cars (don't think I will ever be able to stretch to a 250 SWB), so I am not too worried, although I'd like to have a shot at the Enzo replacement!

George - Many congrats on your new acquisition! Fantastic choice!

After my first brief drive of the Enzo compared with 3 years of owning the F50 the experiences are that they drive very differently - probably not surprising given almost 10 years between them. The F50 is wide, very wide. It seems that you sit lower in the F50 and it is very intimidating at first, the steering is very heavy (3 point turns are a no-no). The clutch and gearchange nicely weighted and a pleasure. Once on the move the car does shrink to some extent and the steering does lighten up. Narrow lanes are still best avoided as demonstrated by the salesman who clipped the wing mirror against an ongoing van during a pre-purchase test drive - thankfully no damage was done.

The Enzo feels immediately feels lighter with the controls and certainly less wieldy and is just easier to drive. After just one drive I was thinking that I could clock up some big miles in it - not a thought that springs to mind in the F50. Sitting slightly higher in the Enzo reduces the feeling of vulnerability and gives more immediate confidence on the road.

    Matt.
