Can anyone recommend a good muffler shop to stick a muffler under my GT4? I'd like some stainless tube bent up, a little bit of nice bracketry made up, tips to all line up in the right spot, that kind of stuff. Any one have some one who "gets it"? First choice would be in Campbell/Los Gatos/San Jose.

Little D's is right near my house in Campbell, anyone have any experience with them? I might even be able to drive there with just the headers. It would be a short but loud trip!

    Thanks!

We use Kurt over at Babes & Lightning Muffler in San Jose on the Alameda. The place has been around forever, and Kurt learned from his Dad. He's an artist with the welder. Does all kinds of hot rods, race cars, etc.

Our Alfas have really tight clearance where the pipes go over the rear axles, and he knows exactly how to make it fit just right so nothing hits the axles or the body even under the extremes of the track. Kurt's not chatty, but he knows his stuff.

I know an artist in Fremont - Quiet HP. Workmanship is - - - well, it doesn't get any better. Does mainly stainless, but be prepared to pay $! Gorgeous fittings all machined and water-jet cut super hi quality stainless. I didn't know what I was getting into. It belongs on a Ferrari F-1. Although I am very proud of it!

I got another guy in RC - Lupe at Meineke. He's big in the Shelby club and does very nice logical / sane systems. You need to stay with him and tell him exactly what you want, and he exceeds expectations. Very talented.

San Rafael is a little far, thanks.
I'll give Babe's a call. I actually stopped by there one Saturday a few weeks ago to see what they could do for me. They are closed on Saturdays, BTW. I'll have to escape from work for a little bit.

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll let you know how it goes.

Are you looking for flames out the headers? Or just looking to be deafened? Perhaps to capture the police activity?

I was thinking of getting a trailer or a flatbed tow. We could just tie a rope between the two GT4s and you could pull me!

Yeah, for whatever reason, that maneuver only works east of the Mississippi River and south of the Mason-Dixon Line.

OK, so now I haven't driven the car for six months just out of lack of time to get a muffler on it. I visited Babe's on The Alameda and he can do it. I bought some classic dual resonated tips for the Italian look, a couple of stainless flanges from Burns, OEM donut gaskets, polished up a bunch of stainless hardware and pipe. Friday is the day. Flatbed is supposed to be at the casa at 9am Friday. Maybe I can finally go on a FOG drive!

The oxygen sensor and bungs is for an EFI conversion that is still a few moons away. But someday....

Thanks for the lead, April. I'll post up a few pictures of the results.
