as far as i can remember, ferrari club never tried short msian drive , so not easy to gauge how many really interested in this ,not 50 but i suspect you'd be pleasantly surprised by good turnout but for now got to focus on making sure this sat goes well

From what I hear from insurance claims, Malayan Motors aka Jaguar, Bentley etc has one of the higher fee/hr & the price on parts as well. Hence, higher premium as well :(

But $180/hr on Ferrari is becoming scary & I always question the no of hours per job including the tiny washers that the previous workshop charges

I'm sure you guys have heard that toll charges on NS highway has increased by 50-80% & PLUS says that they've actually been handing out discounts for the past 2 years so it's now back to normal! Not sure if it's just the CNY round the corner

Btw, I always hear people asking if it's safe to drive alone on NS.

IT IS safe as long as you stick to 101 survival guide :D

There's so many people who drive on that stretch of highway as part of their job daily without issues & getting mugged etc is really down to bad luck or getting nailed.

For God's sake, just do it! I've taken my Murcielago alone right after a trackday to Cherating beach near Kuantan without GPS or map, no hotel booking & it was a great holiday! Well, I did get lost & had to ask locals :D Life is too boring to be planned ahead & what's the use of buying an exotic V8 or 12 without clocking miles but simply sashaying along Orchard rd? Go drive it & write your adventure :)

I'm not alone, there's another lawyer who has been driving fast between KL & here almost weekly for the past 14 years......

Awesome, the 355 looks so petite :)

Geez.....just for servicing?! @ this rate, maybe I can make a living servicing Fchat-sg cars :D

Tim, you may like to try Exquisite Marques in KL. They did the beltjob & complete service of my 456 for a very reasonable fee. They are in Kota Damasara, just behind Ikea in PJ area or One-Utama.

I'll be visiting Naza next week & can check on their prices for you guys.

Normal service, Ital charged me 11hrs labour!! So it is 11*$180. $1980 excluding GST just for labour! No repair hor, this is quite insane IMO. :-(

From a fellow SMF'er by email this morning....

    Guys,

I was cruising along Orchard Rd this afternoon towards my office, and a silver C63 AMG (vehicle no. 1719) try to challenge

me with aggression. Driving recklessly and trying to provoke me.

To shake him off, I Chiong aaaa....

Obviously, he couldn't catch up. I slowed down to enter my office car

park and I was shocked to find him charging towards my

    end.

I put up my hazard lights, unwind my window and wanted to tell him to

race in a safer environment like Sepang. But, he shouted "lets go 2nd

    round!!!"

He rev the engine so loud till the other cars' alarm start "BBBOOOOing".

My concern is he knows where I park my car. He could just do something

    stupid.

Please have a look out for this car and be careful. The driver is in

late 20s or early 30s and estimated weight 75kg. Could be Chinese or

    Malay guy.

One of my colleagues which I don't know him well died in the north south

highway last Saturday. He was driving home after attending Mazda track

day. His car MX5 Miata hit on the divider and died instantly. So I was

    driving extra careful today.

**** man!!! If it's not in my office car park, I would have confronted

    the young punk!!!!

Drive safe and enjoy your life while you can.

    Cheers

And following on from that... this exact same loser pushed Toto.... his account:

my story....i left early from gaddafis wedding. was at camden medical right lane heading home towards tyresall where i turn right.
he was in front of me. lights green...he started to crawl....so i went left. well he gunned. close gap so i cant overtake n turn right after speed camera. so no choice for me now..but to go straight n exit farrer. mad sprint. nailed him at the sweeping right bend outside dempsey until cant see....so i exited farrer. he followed. n i was iinside right. he was outside....n had a wider arch but less acute. anyway...lights turned red on the other side...n i chiong without waiting for my light to b green...cos i kknow in front of tulip it merges to 1 lane. first guy there wins....

so he was for 2nd time stuck behind me....this time i drive slow. forced him to brake...then i gunned. turn left to kings road farrer market...n made a uturn to come back to farrer road. now i picked the left lane which has the wider arch. our friend CAME and followed! so he was tailing me...n i cant go home. he started to blow....n he off his traction control.....cos he was spinning his tires n screeching n making a ton opf smoke. mad bugger. suddenly one pizza hut bike came in between us. ho sei leow. this time lights go orange the other side i go. he also chiong...n then i heard brakes screech. the motor rode ini front of him...n he had to brake. i saw in rear mirror motor **** him! i run away....go home. he never come leow.
