Aside from trading someone for the cars you need you can do what a lot of people have done which is to compete the "Like the Wind" races in the Extreme series first. The A-spec race will award you the Minolta Toyota which can be used to beat the "Gran Turismo All Star" race. The B-spec race will award you the Toyota 7 which can be used to beat the historic race.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know how to get the 00 Corvette C5-R? Better yet does anyone have one and wanna lend me it?
Good to know. Guess I just need more practice with this car. I attempted "Like the Wind" once with it and gave up.
Adding a little traction control (2-4) and turning skid recovery force on will help with driving the Furai.
I'm not sure why I never thought about this... but when entering an a-spec 24 hour endurance race, make sure to choose a car that has headlights! LOL
I don't know if anyone has noticed but I think the "Gifting" rules have changed to every 12 hours. I gift a car last night at 7pm, another at 7am this morning, and another once again at 7pm this evening.
Got my brand spanking new Fanatec GT3RS v2 wheel and clubsport pedals set up tonight... Talk about quality!!! This thing is so bad ass! If anyone is on the market, definitely take a look @ the fanatec wheels... Sent from my DROIDX
Anybody having trouble with their pit crews? Mine seem to change tires and everything but then the car will not pull out of the pit box. I wasted a good 40 minutes on the first A spec enduro and now I don't want to try any others. I haven't done any of the updates, I should probably get hooked up online too... Anyone else had these issues?
I'm not sure how it's working but I've sent our a gift at 7pm EST, 7am, the following day, and again at 7pm. I guess it has something to do with the day reseting at 12:00pm GMT which is 7pm in my time zone. But, I was able to send another gift at 7am. I'm going to try again at 7am this morning.
I figured out what happened and how I was able to send out 3 gift 12 hours apart. What happened was that I sent first gift at 6:59pm EST (11:59pm GMT) which would have been day 1. The next gift that I sent out was at 7:00am (Noon GMT) which would have counted as the second day which was 12 hours later. The 3rd gift that I sent out was at 7:01 pm EST (12:01am GMT) which would have counted as day 3. So, I was able to send 3 cars out just about 12 hours apart but it was just timing on my part. I wasn't able to send out another car this morning at 7:00am EST because I was still on day 3. Day 4 doesn't start until 7:00pm EST (12am GMT).
I finally got back to this game, I'm sure gamer tags are spreasd out in this thread so I wont ask for them agian but mine is Jamesk if you want to me.

Thanks to Eric W, I have the Red Bull X2010 and this car serously does not **** around. Like the Wind? How about passing these slow-pokes at 280 mph. On the outside of a turn. The only way to make this car better is to attach guns to it. Praise be!
Anyone else racing online? I've been running various events on the Nürburgring Nordschleife from Karts to just about anything else. I was thinking about starting up a FChat room if anyone was interested.
+1, thanks Eric W for the X2010 as well. The car doesnt handle as bad as i thought it would. Just finished the seasonal events bonus races, so if anyone needs a car for that let me know and ill send it your way. Hopefully the next updates have more Aston Martins and more wheel choices.
No problem. I've been using my Carbon X1 to do the B-spec 9 hours of Tsukuba. It's a little unfair to the competition to be 250+ laps behind the leader! lol
lol. For races that are time limit rather than lap limits, I use my formula GT in b-spec. For A spec... it is an easy calculation to put yourself up x laps... let the race go on, and come back later. EG: if it takes 4 minutes to complete a lap of the 2nd place guy @ Le Mans... and you are 100 laps up... that is 400 minutes you can just set the controller down just before the start-finish line... and at the 24 hour mark, just cross the finish line
I used the X1 for that as well. Something strange though......I set the "Pit strategy" for stops to take place when the driver had 10% strength remaining. I went on to watch a movie. After the movie, I checked back just to see what was going on. The car was pitting every single lap, because the driver getting in only had 10% or less. I had to turn off the percentage altogether, and have them drive with no strength at all, only pitting when tires and/or fuel was needed.
Very interested. I'd be good just setting up lounges too and lapping. Although I think that a series for Fchatters would be a lot of fun.
