One of the things I enjoy about traveling is noticing how people from different countries and areas look. I noticed this girl at the Silverstone Classic last year but her facial features do not look similar to the women I have seen in London, Bath, Cambridge, or Wales.
I have not been to Ireland or Scotland, so I can only assume she is (or her ancestors were) from one of those

    Which one, would you guess?

There's probably someone on this forum who sees girls like this around all the time and will know.

    Just curious.

If I was sterotyping I'd say Celtic, so possibly Scotland, Wales, Ireland.

But, in all honesty you can see people like that all over the UK.

Agreed on both counts. I'd stereotype to the West of Scotland. :)

    All the best,

I've been to Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic and don't recall any women that looked anything like this except those who were obviously tourists.

I have only seen Russian tourists, but they have different facial features.

I think this girl is of Celtic ancestry-- just a question of what area.

You see them all over the UK and you see some in the US also because people are mobile and change locations. But I think you're right-- Celtic.

    I see you're in Scotland.
Do a lot of the women in your city look like her?

Not to avoid the question, but people have different tastes in women. A man who likes short, plump, dark-haired, olive-skinned Italians would not find her the least bit attractive, so I don't think the "rating scale" has any real meaning.

Personally I think she's very beautiful, but a lot of men would probably prefer slightly softer facial features, which they would think of as being more feminine.

As used in the US, "crush" means you like someone.
I don't think you can like someone you have never spoken to

Anyway, the differences in our ages is great enough that I would feel like a pervert if I were to develop a crush on her. :)

Thats a bit deep,,,As for my light hearted attempt at humour,,,,the answer that I was looking for,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I'd give her one...!!!!!!!!!!!!..;)........Although I do agree with previous posters on the Celtic look, and yeah, she would not look out of place around here,,,,Hope I have'nt offened with my humour.........:)Also like too add,,,I hardly think the Celtic look can be described as less feminine.:(

Absolutely no offense taken. I tend to overanalyze things. :)

I agree that for me the celtic look is not less feminine, but if you subscribe to the "Hollywood" definition of female beauty then large eyes and lips and a smaller, smooth nose are what is desired. (ie Angelina Jolie) I think this girl is squinting some in this photo and does not look particularly happy (frowning a bit, I think), which makes her eyes and mouth look smaller. It would be interesting to see a regular smiling portrait of her--probably a total stunner, as I believe you Brits say.

Personally I like stronger facial features in a woman, but not all men do.

I must agree with you...........YOU DO OVER ANALYZE....:)..But since you mentioned the "Hollywood" look, it is widely known that it is not a natural look, unlike the lady in your original post. Although i'm sure that we can all agree that "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"...:).. And like you, I think we both have the same type of women in our targets. ;)

Nigerian? Bengali? Swiss? or maybe half Argentinian a quarter Costa Rican and the balance from Hemel Hempstead; oh alright I don't know and have no way of knowing someone's racial origin from a photo.

All we do know that she lives in travelling distance of Silverstone and would probably be freaked out by a thread like this....

Maybe while Jim took the photo he managed to get a strand of her hair or a sample of her saliva, in which case we could have an ethnicity DNA test done. That would be much easier than this guess work.

We could also confirm whether she is a natural blonde or not :D

Her facial features, hair colour, the way she styles her hair, her choice of oversize handbag with flowers all over it, the plastic jewellery she's wearing, the floral skirt with uneven hem, the strappy vest top... just about everything about her screams "Glasgow" to me. That picture is the quintessential "look" of a fashionable 20-something Glasgow girl on the city high streets in summer. The only thing she's missing is thick-rimmed rectangular glasses with stripes, spots, or diamante on the arms:

I would be astonished if she turned out not to be from the West of Scotland, if not Glasgow specifically. :)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

So if a girl from Los Angeles visited the UK, took a picture of you, and posted it as an example of how attractive men were in the UK you would be freaked out?
You wouldn't think that was a compliment and feel flattered?

    Thank you, Andrew.
This is the kind of intelligent response I was hoping for.

Are there any vintage racing events in Scotland the weekend before or after the Silverstone Classic? It might be pretty enjoyable to sit at a sidewalk cafe while girls like this paraded by. :)

If a media company publishes information about you which is information that should be considered private, that is to say, information in respect of which you had a ‘reasonable expectation of privacy’, then you may be able to bring an action for misuse of private information. The question of whether or not the information will be considered information in respect of which you have a ‘reasonable expectation of privacy’ is a broad one, which takes account of all the circumstances of the case, including:

•your particular attributes, such as whether your are a person normally in public eye, or whether you are a child or an adult (chidren have a greater expectation of privacy),

•the nature of the activity in which you were engaged in,

•the place at which it was happening,

•the nature and purpose of the intrusion,

•the absence of consent and whether it was known or could be inferred,

•the effect on the you of the publication,

•the circumstances in which and the purposes for which the information came into the hands of the publisher.
