Well, if there was a Dunkin Donuts near the car, the police would have seen it at least 3,412 times since Saturday.
Pardon my ignorance here, but if this is indeed his car, it sounds like it was taken for a joy ride as a pose to being lifted by pros looking to ship/chop it. So how does one steal a modern day Ferrari? Can the 348s be hotwired? Do they not have the requirement to have the key fob transmitter to start or is that something that is newer than the 348? Again, from the sounds of it, it looks like this wasn't pros, so would joy riders have access to "Gone in 60 Seconds" type electronics that could help steal the car?
Just talked to Tony. It's his car, and it's been thrashed, as described above. The police arrived while we were on the phone.
"as opposed to being"..... Sorry, but I get my balls spanked regularly on such matters (ask WAX!!) Jedi
Tony said that the DPD sticker on the window was dated Sunday at 9:00 PM, which is after the car was reported stolen.
Why hasn't DPD called Tony? And how in the hell does a guy who has 4 posts in 4 years (2 of those posts right here in this thread) know the whereabouts of that car AND know of this thread?!?!?
I suspect posers probably took the car. Where the car is are strip clubs, ladies of the night working, motels, clubs and panhandlers. Someone acting like they got money and cruising the blvd and the car hydroplaned on the wet surface during quick acceleration and wrecked out.
No fancy electronics necessary in this case. Tony said he left the key in the ignition, in his garage.
How does a punk joy rider get a 348 with tubi straight pipes out of a garage and not wake up the neighborhood?
I obviously missed where he said he left the keys in the car. I saw damaged garage door and car unlocked, but I didn't see keys in.
Joy ride? Yes. Take it around and show it off in public? I don't buy it. It sticks out like a sore thumb. If you want to tossed in jail quick, drive a reported stolen Ferrari around town. You might as well flip a bird at a patrol car while your at it.
