Can we bill them for the entertainment value we have given their blog? Hey, if any of you guys are reading this from jalopnik, there's an interesting blog going on over at Camarochat.com. Some guy is making a trunk holder for his six pack. The controversy is -- should he make it for Bud or Keystone.
Jalopnik staffers probably patrol the various car forums daily - I see plenty enough cross-postings over there from F-Chat & other forums to feel pretty safe about that assumption. Plus, they really are car guys over there, so they probably do it for the same entertainment-related reasons we do... in their case it also gives them additional content if they see an interesting thread.
Very good! I myself am yet undecided. But regardless: 1) posting here found the car 2) there are at least 2 professionals offering help 3) I'd say 99% hated to see that beauty trashed ... but ... BUT ... were still happy that it wasn't chopped up So Tony: I think posting here was a good idea. Forget the personal accusations. We are just people and LOVE to gossip and speculate. I said I am still undecided. But still my heart goes out for you because no matter if you are involved or not: I truly believe you that you ache because that beauty got mistreated. And of course you'll have the benefit of doubt. As for the /jalopnik.com ... maybe access to our forum should be a bit more regulated.
Dunno about that, but recently they had cross-posted about the snowbound Countach in CT on which there's a thread here. If I remember correctly, they got their first word about the 458 recall from here. Icemanbops was also featured on Jalopnik, as well, with references & links to F-Chat posts he had made.
Nicely explains the dynamics in this thread. But compared to the hatred spewed out at Jalopnik towards Tony as well as all Ferrari folks, we're fairly civiliced over here.
Best job ever, man. Fchat is definitely one of the most entertaining and informative forums out there. A mix of insider info, great stories, and... whatever this is.
Then post in Silver or Rossa, what's the point, it's a public forum, no? This thread has definitely gone up in views though.
Welcome! I'm saving that "Caps lock" poster, from the comments there....don't want to play it on Tony348 tho.......
