All good positive things but I'm personally finding that I'm not as comfortable looking sideways these days even though I've got extra tinting on my glass.
You can almost bet the car beside is eye balling every bit of the Ferrari and of course us as the driver.
Sure you can smile and give the nod but isn't it disconcerting?
It's not an issue once driving I find.

I suppose it's extremely rare to be beside one of these red supercars and that big yellow emblem on the guard says it all.

Other owners know where I'm coming from with this?
I'd be interested in your experiences.
    Rob.

Wasn't 80% of why you bought the car, that there are not a lot of them on the road? Just look forward, play with the buttons on the radio, talk on the cell phone or act like your passed out. I would of stared at the Ferrari even if Christy Brinkley wasn't driving it. Clark Griswald

You will get used to it. Just smile and wave or thumbs up it makes them smile.....be nice and all is cool.

I had a new 2005 Acura NSX for two years in LBBP, a really cool blue. It had as much star power as a Ferrari in its own way since they are very rare and are also very handsome.

People were always asking questions, looking, waving, taking pics with their cell phones. You are not driving a car......it is art and it is beautiful, of course people want to see it and hear it.

After a while, you just get used to it being part of the ownership experience and its nice.

Fortunately no one notices my Giallo F430 :D........Steve

In my back of woods no one ever pays any attention to the cars I've driven,599,Scuderia or even the last one,458.
Granted, none of them was Red or Yellow (599 and 458 Black,Scud White) but the only time I drove a loaner Gallardo (Black),people went out of their way to take a closer look and many snapped pics with their cell phones.

I had a passenger who was getting uncomfortable with people looking and I simply said, "They're not looking at you...they're looking at the car."

    I really think it's true.

If I saw another 360 on the road I would do the same!!!

    Yours,

    Tom

While driving around Vegas I tell any passenger I carry they have to learn to do the "celebrity wave" and then mouth the words "no pictures please". It's my little "out of towner" joke.

Because every visitor to this town has a camera, the car gets photographed at ever stop light as well as people making movies yelling at me "rev it!"

It's the exact opposite of LA where nobody will give a Ferrari a second look. You have a better chance to get someone to pay attention to a non-silver or white Prius. "Hey! Look at that! I've never seen a Prius in RED before! Looks sporty!"

Lol, happens here ALL the time. :D:D

Seeing as there are only two Ferraris here. Mine and a 360. Everytime I go out, I am always waving back to people who wave at me. :p:p

Mainly kids of course. Took a friends Nephew and my Nephew for drives yesterday and I had A LOT more kids waving at me than usual. Probably right time of the afternoon when kids are out on their bikes riding around when I was cruising around. :):)

I don't notice the stares. I just look straight ahead. I don't think about it really.

Had a few kids in a car follow me 3 miles to my neighborhood. They followed me every turn I made. I eventually flipped a u turn on a side street and when they saw that they did the same and took off. Kind of a scary situation not knowing what their motives truly are. The looks are ok on the main streets but when they start to follow you it gets a little nerve racking.

when i was younger we would follow ferraris and lambos simply because we wanted to look at them and enjoy seeing them drive fore than just a second when they passed by. even had a driver or a red 360 pull over and ask if he could help us. when we apologized but told him why we were following him he was all smiles and spent a good 10 minutes showing us the car. i can understand how it can be a little unsettling but when you are driving something that brings so many such joy it comes with the territory.

You will get used to it.
If you think your Ferrari attracts a lot of attention, try driving a Gallardo Spider.
I have a 430 coupe and a Gallardo Spider... there's simply no comparison. The Lambo gets so much more attention, it's sometimes comical.

As was said before... look over, smile... wave or whatever is most natural.

I get the same thing, I'm driving a Maserati every day and, even though the design nor sound is as flamboyant as Ferrari (or Gallardo), I still get the looks and questions, everywhere I go. I'm use to it and, as blackbolt22 stated, I look forward or, if the person rolls down a window / on the side of the road yelling "SEXY CAR", I basically keep my head forward and ignore or say "Thank You" with a bdelp celeb wave ...

The scary pieces, as hangarsixco wrote, has happened to me a few times, especially in the Maserati in Ferrari Rosso. I do the same thing, go on a journey to avoid them knowing where I actually live and frequent.

I know this will be more intense soon when my Ferrari 360 Spider arrives, having driven Aston Martins, Lotus, Ferraris, Maseratis... I'm just use to it...

I'm taking the 430 to the tint shop tomorrow to get the light colored tint taken off and putting on the darkest color allowed without getting harassed by the police. I feel like I'm in a fishbowl at stoplights with the light tint.

I always throw out a smile and a thanks when someone at the light calls out to me, unless they flip me off. It turns ugly after that.

Sorry dude, but in my experience, that's not how it works. I own an F430 and a Gallardo Spider and there's simply no comparison when I drive either car.

I'm not a shy guy, but sometimes actually feel embarrassed at the reaction the Lambo gets.

Don't get me wrong, I love both cars big time... but to the general car-viewing public, the Lambo is more exotic.

There were two high school boys walking in front of my car at the Mall while I was stopped at a Pedestrian walk and one stopped, looked my square, put his arms up and bowed to me. Everyone in the immediate area and I busted out laughing.

Have a new GF, since we took the NSX out we never talked about -about the stares or attention etc, normally she laughs, she is very pretty so it feels cool- .... is kinda like a "pretend" no one cares about that "detail" between us, then this last weekend a guy @ the beach tells us -as he crosses the street with his surf board- "I WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH YOUR CAR" then we started laugh and discuss that "attention factor" LOL ...

I have like 99% dark tints, so it's easier to let people enjoy the car while you just have the pleasure to drive :)

One funny thing about the NSX, most girls don't really care about it - I think- .... but guys go crazy LOL

I can't even imagine a Ferrari how it could be ...
