It is no surprise that I have been logged in the whole time reading all these nasty things written about me. Yes, I have been patient and silent and beyond this post, that is the way it will remain. I will continue to read posts as I see the need and have no fear or misconception others may know that.

FOR THE RECORD: I have fully cooperated with the insurance company and the police. My account of these events are completely documented and I stand firm in statements that I am innocent of these ridiculous accusations!

Turns out my little thread has caught the attention of the entire car world and the thread has gone viral. I'm glad I have been able to entertain you all. While there have been some who have not forgotten, many have completely forgotten or don't care about the fact that I had an intruder come onto my property and took advantage of me. I could have been killed that night just as easily. Instead thieves were just that, thieves. On the other hand members of the brotherhood have turned out to be murders. Yes, I did say murders because you've taken one of your own and crucified him to the masses. I've been made a fool of worldwide, my car has been now forever branded, and I'm officially the laughing stock of the Ferrari world. Why have I stayed silent? Because as soon as the Cool-aid started being poured my original alert to find my car became frenzy. No good can come from any further comments. I'm sure there will be those who will spin this statement just the same. Truth is I've already been betrayed to the point the hurt is the same no matter anyway. You know what really sucks about all this, is the loss of my car was nothing in comparison to this brutality. I'm completely innocent of everything with the exception of trust and that is something I'll never do again. Trust -Goodbye

What of the witness testifying to seeing your pristine locked vehicle early morning? I'm sure that's all anyone would like to hear an explanation of and it would be a done deal. It's just a little odd sounding. Innocent until proven guilty and I am behind you 100% Tony.

Shoulda thought about that before posting about every off-road adventure, wreck, and insurance issue that you have had related to your 348 ownership. If you didn't have the tainted history that you do, the tone would likely have been much different.

Agreed. The tapes shall set you free, and may even identify the purps! I'd be all over that lead if I were tony. Unless it was tony IN the tapes of course. This is the single piece of evidence that can clear this all up since we have members here who have met tony and know what he looks like.

Or if the tape just shows the car there on Saturday AM, then it would prove Tony lied in the OP. Should be easy to check.

saw this on another forum and registered just to express how absolutely worthless dallas police are when it comes to auto theft.

in 1998, my 1984 buick t-type (1 of 2000 made, a very rare car around here) was stolen from a movie theater parking lot in mesquite, a dallas suburb.

when i got out of the movie, the car was gone. it went like this:
    1. immediately called police and reported the car stolen.
    2. gave them the plates and the vin number and my contact information, they said they would be on the lookout for the car. it is a turbo car with an open downpipe, it stands out for sure.
    3. sat there in disbelief for 30 minutes until my friends finally took me home
    4. got a call the next morning saying "oh, hey, you arent the registered owner of the car so we didnt actually do anything" as the car was in my grandfather's name (i think i was 16 at the time). they didn't tell me this over the phone when i initially called in, so any chance of actually catching the people red handed was gone. they took his statement and finally entered the car in the system as stolen
    5. heard nothing the next day.
    6. got a text from a friend that does volunteer work at a church in a very low income part of town: "your car is in my church parking lot... i saw it this morning when i got to church and thought it looked familiar, then i got your mass text that the car was stolen. i have never seen anyone else drive a car like it before, it has to be yours, address is XXX and phone number is XXX"
    7. i call the church and they had already reported the "abandoned" car and the police had already come out and picked the car up to take it to impound.
    8. i call the "detective" on my case and he has NO IDEA THE CAR WAS RECOVERED OR WHERE IT WAS TAKEN.
    9. the NEXT EVENING he finally calls me back and tells me what impound lot the car was at. additionally, they refused to dust the car for prints and just told me to deal with it.

Dallas, Mesquite and Garland PD could not care less about auto theft.

Tony, I dont know you, but sorry about this whole situation. After hearing your description of your home, I think I know where you live and you might want to know about this:

My friend lives off lower greenville in a townhome set up exactly like yours, so i assume he lives pretty close to you. The other day he came downstairs to see someone had tried to break in his side door to gain access to his garage. I know you said yours doesnt have a door, but in any case, someone was trying to get in there and either steal his tools or his racecar.

good luck in getting everything back 100%.

You had text messaging back in 1998?!

I was also 16 in 1998, and pretty sure there was no texting going on....

Thanks for posting that, Nick (turbosix)

My townhome was broken into on Wednesday of last week (1/12) while myself and g/f were at work.

Our next door neighbor had their door kicked in about 4 months earlier so I made the decision to put up some extra "blockage" on the door by adding a door bar and two 'L' brackets on either side of the frame and putting a 2x4 across the door. (ridiculous I even had to come to that) Well, it looks like they used a crow bar to pry the lock off and I'm assuming once they realized they still weren't able to gain access due to the 2x4 across the door, they kicked it in and gained access.

When I arrived, all of my cabinet doors were open inside the garage. My race car was sitting in there unlocked, I detail cars (paint correction) for a living as my side business and had my detail bag/tools/products close to the door they entered in and they took nothing (thank god as I have some expensive product/tools in there) along with my tool box that is locked. I'm guessing something spooked them or something because it's just odd they went through all that trouble to gain access, and just snooped around. Thankfully, they didn't do or take anything or my race car.

Dallas PD did come and take prints and I received a call from the investigator yesterday stating the prints were good and it would take 2 weeks. REason for 2 weeks is they do have someone in custody that was roaming the neighborhood that day around 11:30ish with "tools capable of breaking in", however, they arrested that guy on a warrant. So, they are waiting to tie the break in to him pending the prints match the guy.

Sorry to hear about your Ferrari and hopefully everything gets back 100% how it was. I'm over off Greenville in the new town homes over there so it sounds like we're close to each other. Good luck.

    Brian

Obviously, a chat room is not the place to deal with situations as personal as yours. In my opinion, some of the wounds where " self inflicted ". Not that you owe any one an explanation, but the consensus of the majority of participants on this thread is /was wanting to hear from TONY, not in a defensive posture but a factual one. To me this theme is not about guilty or not guilty it is about right and wrong hence my previous post referencing the DPD. How many negative comments where directed towards them due to your initial post ? Nevertheless, due to this thread, all interested can verify if they did their job regarding your case and form an opinion good or bad . A door was opened and will close eventually, it ultimately depends on you and your perceived notion of being wronged. I happen to be one of those individuals that consider preponderance of proof an important factor in my decision making process.

I remember having it in 1999 (only so specifically because I started a new job and was given the phone)...so it's not a stretch that it was around in 1998.

Tony, you're being over-dramatic here dude, stop feeling sorry for yourself and stand up for yourself! Running away with your tail between your slurped butt cheeks just makes you LOOK guilty!! (sorry, I had too) ;)

Post some facts and evidence that proves your innocence, and this will all be over.
Explain away all the oddities and suspicious behavior. You know the specifics fueling all the accusations... just respond to them with an explanation to them, and clear your name!
You'll get a few hundred apologies, and about the time the next dummy starts a new thread asking when he should do a major, this will all be over and forgotten...

Or, confirm my suspicion, and admit that this whole thing was a big joke.

Oh, and despite what you obviously think, the Brotherhood has not forsaken you!

I think for a teenager to be texting with his friends back at the advent of the technology is a bit of a stretch. That means not only him, but all his friends also had texting phones paid by their parents? Not likely.

I do believe that your company provided such a devise to you though, as that is not a stretch to believe.

you are correct, i went back and looked at the date and realized i had guessed wrong, my mistake!

as you can see, they just joyrode the hell out of the car and ripped out interior parts.

i was lucky as the car was out of gas when they got in it, they only made it about 20 miles or so before running out of gas.

Tony, we have talked off line but I have to tell you I disagree with your issues here. And some of them really make me mad. Here is my problems with your post:

    1)

Well, what did you expect? Isn't that what you wanted? Why post looking for help if you did not want it EVERYWHERE?

    2)
This is incredibly disingenuous especially given the nature of your last thread about a wrecked 348 and why you had it removed. I'm sorry, but that just makes me mad.

    3)
You did that to your self by the original post. The question about your ice ice thread has yet to be answered and no one MADE you look like a fool. Again, I am sorry but I am calling this like I see it.

    4)
Huh??? Again, you did this to your self. Your car was going to be branded the secound you called the cops and your insurance people. (Carfax) You added to that by using the public side of FChat esp when you posted the damn Vin. (Google the vin now and see what you get.)

    5)

Again, no. No one betrayed you. I can sympathize but only with so much. You brought a LOT of this on yourself. the watch, the car, the other car, the other car, this... as someone else said, you have to have the worst luck of anyone I know. SO much so that even I am beginning to question it.

So that you now come back and blame all of this on us and none of it on yourself is just infuriating.

One last time, Tony, I am sorry, I really am, but I am calling this one the way I see it.

    Tony, if you're reading...

Guy, whenever you post anything online, you have to expect the good with the bad.

Ok, some people are accusitory (the bad) about this event but A LOT of people are supportive (the good).

So, are you going to run away and hide because a few have not been 100% loyal to you while most have been on your side? That sounds a bit small to me. I think you're bigger than that.

Are you hurt that some would question you? Sure, and I can understand that. But, would you rather let them keep their wrong position or fight back with the truth?

You say you're the victim. Many want to believe that. But by not defending yourself it just makes people wonder more what really happened this last weekend. Most just want to know the truth and hope that it comes out on your side.

I think if you look at things objectively, there are far more people who support you than oppose you. To walk away from that and leave your detractors alone to do a victory dance is not only wrong, it's even more the wrong message to give to your supporters.
