Jeez, looks like I stared at that post long enough before pressing "SUBMIT" to miss a potential new development over in Owners.
Hoping for the best for Tony, now that it's well and truly waaaayyyyy out there.

To 348 Tony who's car was stolen.

I really do not know you from Adam. I have no ill will towards you. I am a Ferrari lover. Therefore I am not trying to persicute you. Here is a recollection of what I observed and I make a open call to you to dispute my accuracy and put a final chapter on this.

I arrived to work Sat morning for 7am and seen your car with damage apparant. I thought it odd that someone would leave a Ferrari unsupervised especially in that location. I thought it was a baitcar but then figured why would they use a wrecked car. Anyone whose seen pics of the car know that it was flat, front bumper cracked, rear bumper cracked with a fist size hole in it like a puncture. Also, the car was remarkably clean. I say this because it was wet and rainy and the streets still had sand on them from when the temperatures were low the previous week. With a Ferrari 348 being so low. You would have had road splashes along the bottom sill areas and on the rear bumper behind the tire. None of this was present. It was as if the car was not driven to far or was trailered? I have the video to say how it got there.

I did not try to open the doors to verify if locked or not. The car stayed in exact location all day Sat with lots of other onlookers. I arrived to work Sun morning for 7am and lo and behold the car is still there. This time it has a towing sticker attached. I'm like WTF. I'm thinking the owner must be in jail as the car is still here and it has Oklahoma tags. I'm thinking now that I'm going to be at the police auction when this car goes up for sale.

I did not go online over the weekend as I had a new date and was occupied both days. Here comes Mon and its still there. Thats when I go on Fchat to report it and find a topic already discussing the car.

I challenge 348Tony and any of his friends who have seen the car to dispute any of the facts I have presented here. I especially challenge 348Tony to say the car was stolen Sat night when I know for sure it was parked Sat morning when I arrived for work. Thereforre the timeline is narrowed.

I know what I know and it is fact. I have pics I took of the car with my personal recorder and pics with closed circuit monitoring that has been saved. In conclusion, I say to Tony that if the car was stolen then you have nothing to worry about. If you file an insurance claim, just know that the video I have may be viewed by an insurance investigator.

Again, I am not trying to bash anyone. I'm just letting the facts be known.

As I posted above, it's not a real theory... FWIW, as someone pointed out to me, ProbCause's profile says "self-employed retail" as his occupation... if he's being truthful about everything, including that, then it's not too far of a leap to surmise that if he has video surveillance, then he also could very well have a magnetic passcard entry system that tracks time in & time out - which is what he may have meant when he referred to his "time card".

He may be the owner of said liquor store.

    Oh my...

    great post BTW.

I'm still trying to figure the odds of one Fchatter reporting losing his car and another having already found it and both being online discussing it at the same time.

If Fchat is one thing, it's an amazing place where information is shared -- and quickly.

Yes. Straight to the point I would say, and informative.

One thing for Reg, he hasn't wavered in what he claims he's seen or has in his possesion as evidence since day one.

Those details IMO don't belong here. It's evidence, regardless of what the video reveals.
Would YOU want YOUR evidence revealed in a public, Google-searchable forum in a situation
such as this? I don't think that I would, regardless of which side of the issue I might be on.

Reg, IMO, is being very prudent here.

Wasn't asking him to reveal what he didn't wish to, was just curious as to his reason why.

I agree. Its for the investigators to draw conclusions from the evidence. It's not our job. Any conjecture by Reg may actually end up flying back at him. He's simply an observer and doing the right thing in handing over to the authorities what he has and has witnessed.

Hopefully, this evidence will show the people who brought it there and they can be prosecuted.

Then, Tony can get his car fixed and be back posting again.

Are you perhaps not reading the actual thread? What is or is not contained in that
video is potential evidence of a theft of a car - and this thread is public, and Google searchable.
IMO it's none of our business what Reg saw in the video, and IMO he's 100% right in
not going further into details in this. He was merely presenting HIS bona fides as a
possible witness - the details of what he SAW are not appropriate to post here.

Just consider Probable Cause's position. He reportedly has something on that video that reveals whatever information. If he comes out and says person X did it, then it is proven otherwise, it could look very bad on PC's position. If it got out that person Y did it, then he is publicly condemning them in the public eye without a proper trial by jury. The evidence could be tampered with or a whole laundry list of infractions.

So, I do agree that PC is taking the correct steps given what he claims to possess.

Ultimately, I put my faith that Tony is telling the truth. He has been a well-recognized member of this board and has given me no reason to doubt the sincerity of his claims, in spite of his run of bad luck.

Car theft is interesting; when I was 23 my Blazer was stolen - parked right next to my mint, unlocked Corvette (odd I know). I went to work and didn't even think about the Blazer until my Dad called later that day asking if I drove the Blazer, or knew where it was.
If I had posted this story on the internet (this was 1993) I'm sure I would have persecuted by the trolls that are doing this to Tony. How could I walk right by the spot where my Blazer was???? Who knows - in a hUrry I guess.
Tony - I hope this is solved and you give all the morons that went crazy on this thread a big F-U....

Because he was still hungover. Come on guys, you can feel sorry all you want but lets not make excuses for him. He has said and done things in the past that he should never ever have posted here. His timeline on the things he has posted just dont make any sense whatsoever. The only explaination for this guy is drugs. Sorry to sound so crude but how can someone botch something like this so bad. Tony, you have to come clean and tell us all what the hell really happened or be ready to take all the slurpping that comes your way. Whats the old saying? The truth will set you free. And I would add some driving lessons to that as well. ;)
