So excited. I get home from my trip and my new car has arrived. I have to take it for a spin right? I get it out on the interstate and get my first real 8500 RPM run with that lovely capristo sound and get my first speeding ticket within 30 seconds. Some pics to post this weekend but what a downer on an otherwise lovely drive.

forgot the Pic! I tried the obvious "this is my first ferrari" and really - I do have insurance on this car and of course - yes I realize I'm driving without plates.

WOW...well sorry to hear...but on the bright side, hey at least it wasn't stolen out of your garage or anything ;)

To put it in perspective, the maintenance costs will easily dwarf a speeding ticket! :D

Classic story! Oh well, somewhere out there on a law enforcement forum, there is a cop starting a thread that says, "So excited, I'm back from vacation. My first speeding ticket written for 2011 and I caught a Ferrari!"

Bummer dude, he was probably bored. Most of the guys here in Cali just want to see the engine.

    So here it goes....

    Fresh major service on a F355: $8000.
    Brand new Capristo exhaust: $4000.
Speeding ticket for doing 90 in 65: $280.

To hear your freshly serviced F355 with a Cappy singing at 8500rpm right before you see those red and blue lights in your rear view mirror: PRICELESS !!!!!

    Welcome to F355 Ownership. :D

ps. It's time to invest in a V1 now.

Upside is it prolly woulda had been a bigger ticket in a P car given the higher speeds ....... unless in a boxster!!!

Yeah, in a boxster he would probably have given you a sympathy ticket.

Congrats on getting your 355. Sorry to hear about getting pulled over. The same thing happened to me in the early 90's when I got my 300z twin turbo. About 3 blocks from home on the first outing.

Lol. I had same sticker on my rearview mirror in the M5 for a few years. Loved it so much I made it my "Sig" when I upgraded to Rossa recently.

    Awesome car Jeff, congrats!!!

See...you should have bought a 308...even when it sounds like you're going fast, you really aren't. LOL. In a 355, sound and fury...and speed truly go together :-o Sorry you got popped :-(
