Just wasting time at this point, Tony348 isn't gonna be back for awhile and Probable Cause ain't gonna share his movies....so....
Funny how he's been lurking in this thread for two days though... And is still viewing this thread...
I have sat and talked with Tony at a couple of our local Saturday at Starbucks events, and he is a fun guy to be around. Sorry he has had trouble with both his 348's, and hope this one gets resolved in his favor. What hasn't been mentioned is how thieves can get into your garage fairly easily. A couple of years ago I noticed more light coming between the top of my aluminum garage door and the wooden door frame on top of the door. Local, (not Dallas) police came out, and it was obvious someone used a pry bar to make a small 1" space between the door and the wood, to be able to slip in a bent clothes hanger or similar device to try to hook the emergency release on the door opener. I had learned years earlier, that if you don't cut off the plastic T-handle hanging on the end of the rope used to disengage the door from the chain or screw device in case your power is out, and you need to raise the door manually. Cops said many times, they go between the panels on the door and do the same thing. One quick pull and they are in, and free to search your garage and vehicles, and then rehook the door opener up when they are done. You never know they were in there. They got in the garage 2 doors down that night, and the owner didn't suspect until the next morning, when they saw the stuff from both cars thrown around inside them, as the thieves were looking for anything of value. They left leaf blowers and other tools around, so probably were looking for things to use for Identity theft. We hardly ever locked the garage to house door before that, but that changed that night. On the matter of pushing the car out of the garage and up the street, my 355 weighs 2,950 lbs, and can easily be pushed on a level surface by one person. 2 could have gotten it down the street in a hurry, to either start there, or slip it up on a flatbed. Just wanted everyone to know about the t-handle thing, as that is a no-brainer to fix by cutting it off. Best of luck Tony !
In my apartment garages that release actually cables to a lock cylinder in the door itself. Not very confidence inspiring fo' sure...!!!!!!
Well, still no post from Tony to straighten things out. There is no grey area here. Its either a stolen car or a really bad attempt at an insurance claim. I know that if I was in his position and having read the accusations here that I would be on here to refute what was being said within an hour. Its not hard to provide a timeline on how everything went down but that can only be done when the truth is told. It a lot harder when trying to evade the truth. I know some of you are going to tell me that its his business and he dosnt have to say anything. Well sorry but he came on here yesterday and said that he has been made a fool of. Yes he has been made to look like a fool so then come out and tell us how the car ended up missing in the wee hours of Saturday morning and yet he drove it later that day to get grocerys. Thats not a hard thing to do unless your lieing. Its very simple.......There is NO grey area here. BTW he hasnt broken any laws until he files a claim.
I posted a day or so ago about the validity of the facts of my point of view about when, where and what time I seen the car in question. I challenged anyone from the owner or his inner circle that has knowledge to disprove my facts. So far, not a whimper from anyone. Does that say anything???? If it was me and I knew that someone told me where I could find my car after it was stolen then I'd be all over it trying to get information. But that's just me. Someone else may not bother. Again, I do not know the owner and hope that this blows over in his favor but if he stands by his ascertation that the car was stolen Sat afternoon after he drove it then he'd better get a good lawyer fast if he files an insurance claim as facts out there prove otherwise which can be easily verified.
In all fairness, he has posted - the "ALL CAPS" tirade - he completely denies anything other than exactly what he said in the OP. That WAS his post to "straighten things out". Jedi
We all wanna see a screen grab of the car drop off, bro........ A Ferrari doesn't roll very far, on flat tire(s).....
He can deny all he wants but he has do show the timeline. I can deny deny all I want when my wife accuses me of fooling around but somehow that just dosnt seem to cut it. I wonder why.
