I may just pit one against the other in a Jell-o wrestling fight to the death! I'll stop at Walmart and see if they know somebody who just grabbed a slightly damaged but surprisingly clean 348.
I figure I'll just listen for the straight-pipes wailing away as the produce section takes turns doing burnouts. Oh, wait... This car is silent!
Here's a 348 with straight pipes. Pretty darn loud! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwWED1SI4FE[/ame]

See? By providing a simple piece of evidence you admittedly posses, your name can be cleared and you won't make yourself out to be a total pillock. But you have nothing to worry about... Not like you have Probable Cause or anything...
1) Tony claimed earlier that he went to Wally World Saturday in the car. 2) Probable Cause has said repeatedly that the car was there Sat AM but refuses to produce any evidence. 3) Tony has produced a receipt from Wally World which backs him at least partially. 4) Tony further claims the Wally World has video of his car in pristine condition. 5) PC has produced no evidence and over the last few pages has been showing his backside.... like he's playing every one for the attention. (ok some opinion mixed with the facts on that one, sue me) 6 Tony forcefully called PC's bluff and PC got suddenly quiet. 7 Tony must know, unless he is quite mad, that by posting that receipt the video tapes from Walmart just became evidence. .... And unless he's completely lost his mind, he would not post that receipt if the video showed the car was wrecked from the snow episode. ========================= Now, if I were a betting man, knowing what we know, I'd have to put my money on Tony at this point. Unless I missed something?
There's so little ground that can be gained right now mate, we're honestly just gathered around a water cooler.
1) True. 2) True. 3) Well, it shows he was at Walmart but doesn't prove anything of the car being with him. 4) I'm not exactly sure he's saying that. He says Walmart has saved the footage since Saturday but hasn't seen it or released it. Still, it's a pretty powerful claim that's 100% verifiable. Someone is bluffying on the video issue --- Tony or PC 5 & 6) It's only been a couple of hours since Tony's last post. Tomorrow is another day! 7) If you own a Ferrari, you are already certifiably insane. Sanity is not the issue here.
> 3) Well, it shows he was at Walmart but doesn't prove anything of the car being with him. That's why I said 'partially' he might have taken the bus for all we know but at least he has produced -something- that backs his story. More than we can say from the other party. > 4) I'm not exactly sure he's saying that. He says Walmart has saved the footage since Saturday but hasn't seen it or released it. Still, it's a pretty powerful claim that's 100% verifiable. Someone is bluffying on the video issue --- Tony or PC Make no mistake... That's EXACTLY what he said. And I quote: "I've been there and verified they still have Saturday's footage of the parking lot right up front where my untarnished baby sat while I collected my groceries." That's a VERY bold claim. As I said, he must know that a simple subpoena gets those tapes. He'd have to mad to toss that out there if the car was damaged. And I don't know if you've ever seen the cameras at Wally World... but YES they have him on camera... and they'll be able to tell you the plate number on the car much less a fist sized hole in the bumper. One of them is bluffing... but one has EXPONENTIALLY more to lose.
It's a bold CLAIM. It's his claim. Its still hearsay until the evidence is revealed. But, I agree he would look pretty foolish now if his car isn't seen there on Saturday afternoon.
BTW Tony, for your sake I do hope that the car was pristine when you went to the Wally World. Because there is zero doubt that Walmart has actionable images of you if you were in their parking lot. If the car was pristine, you end this thread and make a fool out of many FChatters. If it wasn't.... man you're dumb as a brick.
Not MANY Fchatters. There's still many more in his corner than not. I'm not sure where this rumor comes from. And, why FOOLISH? One guy makes a claim and another has a different claim. Who do you believe? I think both offer compelling testimony of what they saw. BTW: The condition of the car on Saturday afternoon is not an issue. One person claims it's at Walmart why the other says it's got a flat tire behind a McDonalds. The car can't be two places at the same time.
Oh don't get me wrong... the receipt 'proves' nothing by itself. My point is that by playing that card, I think he's got the nuts. (poker lingo not a Walmart purchase) I've been 'hoping' for Tony because like any good drama ya pull for the underdog. But being a guy (as I mentioned before) trained to investigate crashes, I assume nothing and keep an open mind. This -to me- was the most compelling hunk of evidence we have yet. As I've said several times, since he just made that tape evidence, either he has the nuts or he's insane. Occam tells me he has the nuts. (but I'll stay tuned. ;-)
It's not much "evidence". All it shows so far is that he's been to Walmart as claimed. If the tape is there... he's vindicated himself. If the tape is not there... he's made himself look foolish. I do agree though that it's a powerful statement that can easily be backed up 100% positively if it exists.
I'm talking about an intangible here... no, it means nothing from a scientific basis. (it really doesn't even prove he went to Walmart, just that he has a receipt from someone who did if you want to be pedantic) My point is larger than the piece of paper. My point is about HOW he played it. We're all trying to assess the credibility of the two players via their words and actions. And the point is that by putting himself at such risk by making that post, we can only assume he's telling the truth. (or again, insane. ;-)
