Interesting observation and I will have to go back and have another look at that pic. In the meantime there is another possibility here. Tony was dropping off one of the Texas swim team girls at the strip joint and then went down to the Mcdonalds to grab a quick coffee but couldnt negotiate the drive-thru at 60mph and left the car there. Ran back up to the strip joint where he drank too much and closed the place out. Someone dropped him home where he later woke up not remembering anything of the night before. The previous nights drinking left him well hungover and unable to drive.(he may have even tried some "cleavage snorting, hense the term "but slurping") He had the munchies so bad that he took a cab to do some grocery shopping at Wallyworld and returned home to eat. Soon after eating and regaining most of his composure he logs onto F-chat to tell everyone of his escapades on the icy highway a few days earlier, hence "ice ice post" he then remembers that he may have done some damage to his car and runs down to the garage only to see the car missing, hence the start of this thread.
Now we have to find which one of the babes below is the stripper he dropped off at the club as she is a vital witness. There are also some important question to be answered.
Is PC really one of the strippers at the club?
What type of cleavage was Tony really slurpping?

Let me point out (from a criminal's point of view...LOL!) that people also steal cars "to order" to CHOP for PARTS....local not Container Shipping level schemes...

So, some driver we'll call Garage Door Guy is in the car on the way to the drop off, but he toots a rail off the glove box mirror and drops in to brag to his stripper gf we'll call Lolita on this flash ride he is 'in on"...only she takes him up to VIP and a few Cuba Libres later he is "On the Road Again".....BUT he overcooks it and POW!

Ooops...things gone wrong BIG TIME...he can't go any futher, (no spare, doesn;t have the jack instructions "WTF!!", and so, has to bail on the car!

Ironic he wrecked the same side as Tony's FIRST car, which may have been the vehicle the "orded parts" were for, in the first place!!

 

Guys, come on.... the guy said very early in the thread he drove to the Walmart Saturday. Now he produces a receipt to back his story up... OK OK OK now yes he might have gone there last night and picked up every receipt blowing around parking lot until he found one that fit his story and came and posted it....

But TECHNICALLY we have no proof space aliens didn't take the car either. Do we?

Let's not be too smart by half. They call it 'reasonable' doubt for a reason. Absent evidence of some misrepresentation, ya gotta take the receipt at face value.

If you're going to just say "It proves nothing" you're not an honest broker looking to solve the mystery, you're just stirring **** for your own personal edification.

It has nothing to do with finding a properly stamped receipt. I believe that Tony was actually at Walmart on 1/15 at 1pm. What i'm skeptical of, is what car he took to Walmart. The receipt does not show this. Otherwise, we're back at square one.

Regarding space aliens.... around here we use a lot of common sense. Common sense tells me that Tony's story makes no sense. Even the first part.... how do you steal a Ferrari out of a locked garage WHILE THE OWNER IS HOME without anyone noticing? The very primise of this story is hard to believe, and when the story continues to get even more strange, then I fall back on my common sense. Which tells me that Tony's story does not add up.

And many people seem to keep forgetting that Probable Cause actually PROVIDED THE TIP that lead to the cars recovery.

This is all correct. Anyone could find a receipt for a few days previous in a parking lot or trash can. Desparate people resort to desparate measures. Remember what I said. There is no grey area here and if Tony is completely above board, it would not take much for him to prove it. As for PC, well maybe you should post some sort of pic that shows you are telling the truth but then again, if you are right then I dont blame you for making him sweat it out a little. There is far too much insurance fraud going on out there and we are paying through the nose for it.

 

Common sense says, if I believe that he had wrecked the car the night before, then he would have some type of alternative transportation to get to Walmart. Another car, a friend, a neighbor, a rental, the bus, there are many ways. How is Tony getting around now? I bet he's not stuck at home.

If I wrecked all my personal cars, it would only take me 2 seconds to go get another one from my parents' house. Just sayin.

And anyone who claims to make 6-figures annually is retarded for not having an alternative vehicle to his/her 20 year old Ferrari.

Why? Jim Glick drove a TR to it's grave. Some people like using their Ferrari's as tools for transportation. If that's what Tony was doing, more power to him. We all know the car was insured and most policies have rental coverage in place (how's that Enterprise special treating you Tony?) and so it's not a big deal for somebody to DD. Especially if you're single, no kids and like to eat Hawaiian pizza from Wal Mart.

 

I never said it wasn't a viable daily driver, I said it's not smart to have no alternative. I bet the TR wasn't Jim's only car.
