    You really were serious.

I think you missed your calling. With intuition like that, the sky is the limit.

Did you consider any other possibilities? Or is this definitely it?

How are you with lottery numbers?

Also, while you are at it, can you help me track down Jimmy Hoffa...I heard there is BIG reward money there.

Wow, so I just sat down and read this thread from cover to cover. Great entertainment from conspiracy theories to Zophie pics and apparently somewhere along the line there is some kind of debate over a wrecked 348 but this Gerry D, this post for some reason actually made me laugh out loud.

Probably not a great statement about my character that a man's desperate plea to not have to butt slurp another man makes me laugh! :)

Glad to see your having a good time Thad. If we took everything in life as serious as a few of these guys, we would all be having an M.I. before 50years old. I doubt they could ever watch SNL without crawling right out of their skin.

I'm definitely not in the camp that says bad publicity is good publicity. Remember, the title to that Jalopnik article reads "FerrariChat Turns on Member with Stolen Car."

How the hell is FChat well represented with something like this?? And since this thread's still open, we're having a flood of views that will inevitably be the first impression for MANY people wondering exactly what this forum is all about.

This isn't a huge influx of new members due to some barn find in the Vintage section, it's a trolling page for any would-be boy-racer who likes to post some laughs.

Traffic or not, this isn't how FerrariChat should be seen.

I would hope that those visiting here would realize that many of the opinions expressed in this thread are not representative of most members but are those of new unsubscribed visitors.

Well, I don't think anyone owning a rusty Ford Pinto is going to be looking for Carbon Fiber parts for a 355! Then again, maybe Tubi makes a custom exhaust for a Nova....

I dont see what is so terrible about this thread or how it reflects badly on FChat.

If Tonys story didnt seem a little 'off' no one would be questioning him. We have two FChatters , neither of whom is very well known. Tony hasnt been around very long and PC, while having been around much longer, doesnt contribute.

Neither have got to the point where they get 100% benefit of the doubt as both are contradicting the others story. So we have determined (rightly so) that one of them is lying.

You are Tonys friend so you default to him...most of us dont know Tony so we are going to look at both stories equally.

I think thats the most rational perspective to have.

    I disagree.
I don't know Tony or PC and have no insight as to who's story is closest to the truth but Tony has something at stake here and deserves the benefit of the doubt.
PC is making accusations with evidence that he is unwilling to produce.
As I said before Tony may have valid legal reason's for not revealing all the details. PC does not.
In my book if you accuse someone in public you back it up with all the facts at your disposal.

I would say that's a pretty good point.

However, Tony's anger and threats aren't helping his cause either. Tony's the one that started writing in a public forum and his words are at times rather threatening too.

Not a good tactic IMO for the world to see....

Both stories have inconsistencies to a degree.

PC reported the car found and knew its location.

You can't fault various members speculating on what is going on.

I think those that are condemning either one are in the single digits. The vast majority is mostly curious and disects statements and pictures and is interested in discovering the truth.

Nobody is forcing anybody to reveal anything or post anything in this thread. This is all done at each individuals own volition.

I believe when you say "something at stake" you are referring to Tony's public reputation?

If that is the case, Tony is probably better off not posting and reading until everything is resolved to his satisfaction. It would be a lot more satisfying to post here again in a week or two when he has settled with the insurance company and all is well.

That would mean way more than any written rebuttal or what not.

I agree with David here. Probable Cause shouldn't cast aspersions and leave them unsupported (albeit hinting that he can back them up).

    All the best,
    Andrew.

The least of my worries is my fear of some narrow-minded people who would see only a few trees because they don't have the mental capacity or intellect to see the entire forest, and base their judgment of FChat members on one thread. Of the hundreds of thousands of threads, this is the one that they draw their conclusions from? People like that worry me the least.

I think this "myth" that we've all "turned" on Tony is the BS title from this Japolinkskiovich or "whatever its name is" site.

Tony should sue them if he's worried about his reputation. This was an internal matter until they caught wind and blew it out of proportion.

For the record, if anyone even bothers to listen,

Tony asked for help to find his stolen car.

Tony said it went missing at a certain time.

Another member told him where to locate it. It turned out to be there and in pretty rough condition.

Then, the other member said the car was already there when Tony claimed he still had it.

It's natural for anyone who looks at these two facts to want to question who is right and who is wrong. That's not "turning" on someone. It's trying to find the truth.

Since when is trying to find the truth a "bad" thing? I guess, only on the internets...
