I don't mean to paint with a broad brush. Most (long term at least) F-Chatters are fair minded and its only natural to enjoy a good real life whodunit.
Tony posted here initially as a Ferrari APB on his missing car and I'm sure had no idea (who could have) what this would turn into. Granted some of his subsequent posts have been problematic but I think we still owe him the benefit of the doubt.
At any point PC could produce his supposed evidence and put the matter to rest. The fact that he doesn't indicates that resolving the issue is not his priority.
A man's reputation is his most valuable asset and it shouldn't be sullied lightly.
If he's scamming there is plenty of time for approbation when the dust has settled.

I agree Bob. And this might be a little late now, but perhaps this thread should be moved to the Silver or P&R section so that it is no longer public....at least any new posts moving forward would not be google-able

Okay....after 64 pages, haven't we reached 'put up or shut up' time yet?

NOBODY has posted any actual pictures, video, or other proof, of either side of this story. People claim to have pictures of the car after the recovery to show its condition, but will not post them. Why the heck not? It is not like that should be a secret, or have any bearing on how this claim is settled if it is a legit claim.

Videos....both sides claim to have them proving their own points beyond a reasonable doubt, yet nobody posts those (or even screen shots from them).

So, again...I ask, WHY?? Either someone show some proof, or close down this train wreck of a thread that is doing NOTHING but polarizing the F-Chat community.

    Another voice here.

So, I think this has been an interesting yarn. Second here only to the fighter that sort of bought a Lambo....

Anyway, as an Engineer I tend to look for flaws and inconsistencies here. There seem to be some on both sides. Since I am not a lawyer, I do not understand why they each cannot post all of their respective evidence. Does it change the value of said evidence if it is publicly known? If so, why? Why does evidence need to be secreted? Just curious.

I think anyone who has spent time on a forum knows that they can become a powerful ally or enemy. (From the guy in AZ who won an Evo on ebay but the dealer refused, to the other guy who screwed some Corvette owner with an engine. Either way a forum is just another public place. If this was on the news, or in the paper, would it affect either of the parties?

If, they can post these things, then we can determine what the truth is. It may be a combo of both stories, or that someone made a small mistake, to a complete fabrication.

I am interested in the outcome. A lot of the posts are silly, and some are great....more of that awesome Zophie please!

Anyway, I think every family has quarrels. This is a Ferrari family. It's good to exercise discourse and pull and twist. If everyone was always placid this would be quite the dull place.

I am hoping that PC and Tony348 continue to post. Not just for the entertainment value, but because I am honestly curious as to what really happened.

    Sorry for the long diatribe.....

    t.

I don't think we'll see pics of the car...it's a damn shame what happened to it.......

A lot more than spinning over a curb..........there's a troubling content of vindictiveness to the level of damage.....it was punks.

If Probable Cause has some incriminating photos he should offer them up, well before causing a member here such emotional duress.

If he not willing to do that, he should have gone over there and joined in, with destroying the car. Grabbed a spare nose badge or cavallino rampante.

There's "fun"....and then there's "fun".......all he has done here is make a pretty powerful enemy out of (by all accounts) a nice guy going thru an upsetting experience.

There's nothing wrong with what I said. If someone wants to join us, they can do it without insulting us right out of the box.

What I said was correct. Most do support Tony if you go back and look at all the posts. This idea that we are jumping on him is hogwash... and I don't mind telling people so.

I'm in complete support of that statement.

It's especially unique when somebody has 2 posts and begins throwing some weight around in a thread opened to the world by an enthusiast news web-site, surrounded by members who have been around eachother for a long time.

as a recovering lawyer i think PC is on the downside of history. if there is an ongoing police investigation, he better consider the consequences of not turning his evidence over. whether or not there is an investigation he is playing russian roulette with the socalled facts he states. tony Has rights not to be burned like this in apublic forum. let's go PC, what do you have?

Disclaimer: my advice is always subject to what i am drinking. right now it is vodka.

Remember: No matter how, cynical you get, it is never enough to keep up:Lily Tomlin

Okay, okay, I admit it. I stole the damn car on my way back from London after putting a hex on Big Tex and taking pictures of some dude slurping my butt.
