Yeah, looks kinda like some sort of clown shoe but I commend them for at least making an AWD exotic, it's been long overdue.

 

I just want to know one thing: Is it "Trail Rated"?

I think they're wrong on the FF too.

I hate the Ferrari photos. But, I bet it looks great one-on-one. I'm very curious what the hood looks like in person. And blame the rear deck on the Scottish for inventing GOLF.

But, I can never understand

1) why Ferrari always releases such lousy, over retouched, and few genuine photos of a new model and

2) why people can't have an open mind until they at least see it in person and

3) why so many are stuck in the 70's, 80's, and 90's when it comes to style.

Well said, Ferrari hasn't helped themselves in this revealing but I still think it will be absolutely stunning. Just like the 612 does in person, especially in grigio silverstone.

I dont think its a case of being stuck in the past but we were all hoping for something 458 beautiful and this is the exact opposite, when you have a glorious history of good looking 2+2 like the 456 and you deliver something like this well then its clear technology has won over styling.

Make no mistake I admire the technolofy just wish it has beenn wrapped in better cloths....

 

I say... wait until you see it. When the 458 pics were first revealed, a lot of people jumped on it too as being ugly along with its gearbox, it's weight, it's size, it's new suspension system, it's LCD dash layout, it's funny wings in front, its headlights, the prancing horse in front, etc along with the usual whining about how Luca and Fiat have screwed everything and why can't it be as good looking as the 355.

It's all becoming rather predictable.

 

Tell that to the hundreds of 599 owners here... I think they may differ with you.

 

I think this is something to be very excited about. I am not totally set on an opinion about the styling because I have not seen it in person. These pics are very interesting and look very good. For those who have already posted their preformed and dramatic opinions. Than go forward with de-badging your car. I'm sure LDM will be moved. The other drama queen haters can send Ferrari a message by not spending the 300k you don't have on this car. The haters that do have the 300k, I'm sure you're intelligent enough not to spend it on a car you hate.

That's true. But the haters of the California are a bit surprised to find out that CA's are going the same price as Scuds now adays.

The predicted CA crash one year after introduction never happened.

Will they admit it? You must be kidding...

 

There will always be some cars that will appreciate.

 

It's a pseudo-anonymous design like so many Ferrari 2+2's that came before it. It is neither ugly nor beautiful; instead it is a quirkily handsome design that can safely be left in front of a restaurant without the owner fearing that it will be molested by envious passers-by.

It will serve to delight the owner and his company as they motor to some evening retreat; the journey being at least as pleasant as the destination for those wishing to revel in their good fortunes without flaunting it through every intersection and at every stop sign.

Plus, it looks like you can have some damned good sex in the back of this thing without forcing your patellas into your rectum as you jockey for position.

Perspective, folks.

This summer in one day I saw 11 Ferrari California in Saint Tropez (yes 11 in 1 day)

 

I guess people LIKE it then. Amazing isn't it as it was bashed completely for months on Fchat.
